Why would we—“ “Because veils have always been used for brides, haven’t they?” I cut him off, my voice steady, layered with a dark, deliberate precision. “In the human world, the veil hides the bride’s face until the very moment the vows are spoken. It keeps the identity hidden until it is too late to change anyone’s mind. I want it to be exactly the same for this ceremony.” I let go of his hands, stepping back as the full layout of my plan crystallizes in my mind.

Amelia asks, and I grin at her quizzical mind? She will be an outstanding Goddess. "Only a mate who has been marked can enter. A vampire or human without a mark will never see the veil. It will be hidden from all other eyes. Werewolves and their marked mates will only be able to see it. That allows humans to visit family members. And takes away the need to schedule mass crossings. The veil will only be open to those mated to human or vampire...and that includes the royal line," I explain happily. Amelia smiles brightly as we finally come to an agreement. But right as I reach for my bowl, Amelia grabs my hand.

The dust of the clone began swirling upward, forming symbols in the air — words written in fire. THE VEIL IS COMING. And then, darkness.

It made the treatment difficult. Still struggling to tend to my wounds, Madam Apricot barged into my room. "You won't be able to dress your wounds properly yourself," she said. "Sit," she commanded. "I will help you dress them from here on." I obediently sat and she tended and dressed my wounds very neat. "There you go!" She said when she was through. "And I must say, that was a smart move using veilroot to mask your scent. Only few werewolves know the significance of veilroot, it is most times discarded as common weed.

Rowan asked. Matthias slowly shook his head. “No.” He looked toward Arawn. “They disappeared.” Arawn closed his eyes. “They’ve already crossed.” Rowan frowned. “Crossed what?” “The Veil.” Silence. Matthias muttered a quiet curse. Rowan looked from one man to the other. “I am officially done with everyone speaking in riddles.” Arawn almost smiled. “The Veil is the oldest boundary in this forest.” “It separates the world you know…” “…from the world that remembers what it once was.”

Then she bowed deeply to me. "It's an honest mistake, Ginny. I swear he still loves you." I didn't care about his reasons or excuses. A divorce was the only thing on my mind. When Nathaniel saw that my mind was set, he climbed up the windowsill. "If you're going through with the divorce, I'm jumping off this building! Life is pointless without you anyway!" That made me relent. I couldn't possibly watch him take his own life if I could stop it, so I yanked him off the windowsill. "Fine, divorce is off the table, but there will be no second time."

She looked at Chief with a shocked face. “Uh…Okay. So you have like a secret island under you?” Amelthia shook her head to absorb all the information. Chief nodded his head in agreement. “Oh…ok then.” Amelthia agreed still in shock. “Kris take her to the room and change her look while I have a talk with Felix.” Chief pointed at Kris to the room. As soon as Kris takes Amelthia with her to the room chief turns his attention to Felix. “So… Felix… You have to be really careful with everything. Make sure nothing goes wrong this time. You both will be sent by the private jet. By 7 your passports and other things will be done. And your name will be Chris there and Niamh for Amelthia.”

Elyra looked down at the glowing mark on her wrist. The silver star at the center of the thirteen-branched tree pulsed gently. Beside her, Zevarion's crescent mark shone with the same rhythm. For the first time, their marks beat as one. Like two halves of the same heart. Astera watched them quietly. "The bridge only appears when the two Guardians are united." Victor glanced at the bridge and sighed. "So... another ancient test." Damien folded his arms. "When have we ever had an easy path?"

The Veil represent that fact that they don’t want disturbance. “Good.” I replied as I marched right to the veil and removed it, a choked cry arose from Faye but my attention was soley on the angry faces that were in front of me.
