The simple question was more than he had thought it would be. He knew it was two-sided at best. “I think my cousin could help you. I don’t know if it would be the key or not. I do think that he would help open your heart again in a way I don’t think anyone else can. You had someone like him before, so you understand.” Garrett said. “He is alone now. He needs help in life and people to love him back. For you, it may help both of you.”

Alexis didn't pay attention to the hydrangea bushes carefully maintained in the garden spaced or the orchids that bloomed along the side of the path she stood on. She didn't notice the captivating Bleeding-heart tree that they passed, nor the stray peonies that popped up here and there like a wonderful surprise. No, she was busy mulling about the Emperors sudden change of behaviour. Also, she's thankful because of her Emperor who's nice to her, totally different from what she imagine. At first she imagine that the Emperor was an arrogant, heartless, aloof, bad guy, playboy and an asshole. Now, she eat what she imagine. She didn't expect that the Emperor whom they keep saying that he's a merciless turned out to be kind. *Note: Only for her tho.* She finished the song with a lone tear fall to her eyes, the other can't see it but the lone tear that fall to her cheeks can't escape to the Emperor's eyes. He clearly saw the tear that escape to her eyes.

“The Emperor and the Crown Prince of the Flame Dragon Empire has arrived!” a eunuch announced before bowing low. That man must be one of the senior eunuchs of this palace. I hated the horrendous fact that the people of my village had chosen me as their sacrifice and offered me as part of the spoils of war to this empire after our small country was conquered. The villagers resented my existence so it came as no surprise that if a woman had to be sent to serve as a slave to the Empire, it would be me, the one they hated the most and needed the least.

“Brat, why are they chasing after you?” Exhausted, Alex slumped to the ground. “I somehow encountered a huge heart that lives inside my body as its host. These two guys are here to snatch it. It seems to be of a great origin, but it has fused with my heart. I can’t possibly gouge my heart out, right?” Grand Emperor Rowan stared at the location of his heart again and again. Alex covered his heart with his hand quickly. “What are you doing? You aren’t trying to steal my heart, too?”
