The others in the room exchanged uneasy glances, but none spoke.

I had to move fast. I turned through the pages of the spell book with shaky hands until I finally settled on what I was searching for. “Thrakos, Demon of the Underworld, Lord of Hell,” I whispered, my fingers tracing the forbidden verse. “He who commands the forbidden flames of the devil's domain,” my voice grew louder, desperation etched in my eyes, "I call thee, Thrakos. I summon thee to the mortal realm. Kneel before–” The sound of thunder cracking cut me short before I could complete my words. The ground began to rumble and the circle I had engraved on the ground expanded outwards as dark smoke clouded the entire place.

I asked. It screamed in a shrill voice then vanished in fear. "Weak." I whispered then walked to the door and opened it before Ose could knock. Unlike the humans, us demons had heightened senses and good hearing. So it wasn't hard to predict a few things before they happened, the only thing we did was act too relaxed and pretend not to see shit when in truth we saw most things.

I peered out the window and saw Shea walking away from me. This was going to be interesting. After a few minutes of waiting, demons started cheering. "TO WAR!" I heard Samael bellow over his kingdom. Cheers, shouts and screams erupted so loud, the carriage vibrated. Some horses screamed in protest, and the ground shook with the commotion. My glass of juice almost fell over, and I caught it just in time. Amidst the noise, the carriage suddenly jerked forward. The sounds of hundreds of hooves hitting the ground, weapons hitting each other and talking demons replaced the cheering after a few minutes.
