A Mafia's Obsession By Adaririchichi Novels & Stories

Chiara Moretti Alessandro stared down at me, his jaw tight. "You say that now," he said, and took a step toward me. "But you do not understand what you are asking for, Chiara. The mafia world is not a boardroom. It is not about signing papers or making smart investments. It is a world built on blood, loyalty, and extreme violence. It is filled with people who will not hesitate to cut your throat just to send a message."

She said with a smile. “Hmm, Lydia, we kind of need your help.” Eddy said nervously and Lydia raised a brow curiously. “With what?” “We need you to help us kill someone.” Eddy said and Lydia froze. “What?” “Okay, take a seat.” Eddy said and pulled her to sit. “Have you ever heard of mafias? Russians? Drug lords and dealers? Assassins?” Eddy asked. “Yeah, yes I have.” “Good.” “Whats good about it?”

Reckless actions do lead to poor outcomes. The sun above my head is now in front of me. Time takes forever to pass by as I take time to process all that went down. Alessandro’s footsteps make me lift my chin. He sits right in front of me, the mud tainting his expensive suit. His unsympathetic mafia boss self was hidden deep under, the man in front of me looked defeated. His gaze didn't meet mine, he spoke with his eyes fixated on the floor.

“Marriage between you and me? You see that—how it sounds? A B S U R D.” “It’s either that or you go back to Zeus. And trust me, you don’t want to find out what he will do to you.” The back of my knees hit the chair. His arm snakes around my waist, catching me. “Have you heard of Ravens?” I nod. Who doesn’t know about the five deadly mafia lords who rule the world with an iron fist? And I know he is one of them.

He slowly steps forward, his feet making no sound on the plush carpet, and walks in my direction with his hands raised slightly in a placating gesture. “Livia, hear me out first—” “No!” I hiss, the syllable tearing raw from my throat. I snap my head back, glaring straight into his intense eyes with all the fury and self-loathing I possess. “I know I am being a hypocrite. I know I am a married woman myself, tied to a bastard who treats me like garbage, but I don’t want to be your mistress, Dante.”

Isabella’s POV It was nice to have dinner with Papa, but of course, as soon as the topic of the DeMarcos came up, there was a huge fight. “I don’t understand in this day and age that you can’t barter for my freedom,” I voiced, crossing my arms. “It’s mafia tradition, Mia Stellina,” Papa replied. “The mafia is very steeped in tradition and values. There is even a mafia council in Italy with strict rules. If you go against the council, you can face severe penalties, including death.”

“You don’t have anyone else. No one who’d take you. No one who’d even want you.” I closed my eyes. He grabbed my collar and yanked me to my feet. Pain shot through my ribs and I hissed. “Look at me,” he demanded. I forced my eyes open. He was shaking with rage. His pupils were pinpricks, wild and furious. “Adam Mitch thinks he’s won,” Richard said. His voice dropped to a low, poisonous whisper. “He thinks he can turn the whole fucking city on me. Sicilians, Neapolitans, all those old bastards who would sell their own kids for a better deal. He’s playing Mafia Don like it’s a goddamn movie.”

Lancaster, isolating him from the rest of the room. Instantly, a dozen rifles were pointed directly at my head. I just tilted my chin up, daring them to try it. “Lower your guns,” Mr. Lancaster commanded, his voice calm but strained. He looked at me, searching for any sign of weakness and finding none. “Fine. You want to know? Chandria... she’s part of a mafia.” I stared at him, a confused laugh nearly bubbling up in my throat. “What mafia? What are you talking about?”

“Quit looking at me and sign the damn papers already. We've got a lot of other things to get to.” I nodded nervously, skimming over the papers quickly, my pen poised over the signature line. It would be fatal to defy my father. Norman Stravkos was a no nonsense man. The head of a powerful underground Mafia gang. A pesky drug lord that evaded the hands of the law like sudden lightening. His word was law, and his actions — unbred chaos.

Nella’s pov I snatched the leather folder from Antonio’s outstretched hand so hard the papers inside rustled like dry leaves. Rage boiled up my throat before I could stop it. “What kind of heartless bullshit is this?” My voice cracked, loud enough to echo off the marble foyer. “My father isn’t even cold in the ground. His body’s barely in the crypt, and you people are already shoving a business document in my face? Is this what the Mafia calls respect? Brutality? Callousness? Aren’t you all supposed to be human?”
