Cassy shook her head and smiled to reassure her, she couldn't tell Paige that she had self-healed with her white flame, she wasn't even sure she knew what it was, so she decided to redirect the conversation to another topic and she asked her still curious, "You just said that mages have potential, what does that mean exactly?" Paige smiled at her again and quickly explained, "Mages have limited potential unlike warriors, depending on their potential they will be able to accomplish more or less. The second test I told you about, you're going to take it tomorrow to get into the Academy of Catara. As you have already turned 18, you don't need to use the herb I told you about, this energy reserv

Erik noticed that. "You can talk, Mr. Potter." "Thank you, sir. I wanted to ask what kind of magic is this that you are using?" "It's called magecraft, Mr. Potter. While wizards and witches use a wand to focus their magic and cast spells, magecraft is an advance use of magic. It doesn't require a focus to use when you are an advanced user, but most people still use a staff. Magecraft differs from wizardry and witchcraft in the way you shape and use your magic. Where wizards and witches use mainly intent and enchantations, mages use heavy math and knowledge to construct the magic circles for their spells. Like this blue one that I am using to examine you."

'Attack. Save those who were guarding Selene, members from my pack were the first to bolt out of formation, they leaped swiftly into their wolf forms and jumped at the robed men. While a few were held back with a magical spell that suspended them in the air until thrown to the side. The rest got through the barrage of magical spells cast their way and took out about half of the sorcerers. Spells of fire erupted from the remaining magic casters, which knocked a dozen wolves aside, sending them rolling to the ground. Magnus and Ares commanded their own ranks to attack the sorcerers. Some wolves were taken out by powerful streams of fire released by the robed men.

When they saw me, they looked like they wanted to run but couldn't. "It's going to be okay," I said delicately. Then to Sera, "What are you doing?" A look of panic crossed Sera's face before her eyes rolled back inside her head, and they were replaced with twin pools of red, like blood. "Sera isn't here right now," she said, and my light was extinguished. "I am Mizrabel, a sorceress from the land of Polonias. With her longing for friends and for power, this child was easy to coerce into wakening me. Now everyone in the land will pay, especially you. If you dare, come for me, and we will see who is meant to rule the land." The voice, which sounded nothing like Sera's, cackled and was gone.

Magma erupts upward—sacred, pure kami fire, swallowing tendrils whole, cleansing corruption in waves of white-hot purification. The Matriarch rises from the palace ruins—colossal abomination, body a horrific fusion of corrupted shrine stone, twisted torii gates, and pulsing void flesh. Maw a massive corrupted gate ringed with teeth of shattered sacred wood. Eyes like black suns—pulling light itself. Gravity warps sudden and violent—pulling us down hard, armor groaning. *Debuff: Kami-Devourer Pull – Movement ninety percent Down* *Additional Effect: Mana Drain Active*

My soul sank to my heels, and Vasmiya and I pressed into our chairs, afraid even to breathe. Yafi and Ogis, meanwhile, had grabbed their swords, crouched low and ready, waiting only for the mage’s command. “The girls are not for sale,” the mage said with feigned calm, boldly staring down the giant. “We don’t want trouble, and we don’t want trouble for you either, so we’ll pretend you didn’t come over and ask something like that.”

But taking in the position she was in, that seemed like a joke, especially when her father and brothers did not care about her. Moreover, in the novel, there were no mentions of Mage being hired to cure 'Seraphine'. In a world that was filled with magic, such creatures were not uncommon. As their name suggested, Mages dealt with magic. There were various types of Mages, and they were ranked according to their abilities. Since the author did not go into much description when it came to the Mages, Seraphine was barely aware of details when it came to them. But one thing she knew was that hiring Mages to cure someone took a lot of power and money. It was fair to say that, other than the Royal f
