Matt said. “Well, you got me, take me before my breakfast gets cold.” Chey replied. “Yes ma’am!” Matt said. Their love making did not take as long as Chey had thought. Soon as Matt was inside her a few minutes later they both exploded. And in fact, they were back at breakfast in 15 minutes “I’m impressed. You got me back to breakfast before it got cold!” Chey said. “I am a man of my word.” Matt replied. “So what time are Pam and Garrett coming over?” Chey asked.

Damion and Mel should have been back by now. “Guys, why is Damion taking so long?” I ask. The words hang there, thin and brittle. No one says it, but the shift is instant. Aidan leans in. “Where.” I hesitate. Because the answer— Doesn’t make sense. “It’s not in space,” I say. “Then where is it.” I look at the readout. At the data that shouldn’t be possible. “It’s in the system timeline.” Silence. Then— “…I’m sorry, what,” Matteo says. “It’s not a spatial anomaly,” I explain. “It’s temporal.” “That’s not better.” “No.” Aidan nods slowly. “It’s an echo of a previous state.”

She asked in the dark looking into his eyes. “Oh, God. You remembered this time from the beginning.” He said. “What you mean I remembered this time from the beginning there’s more?” She asked extremely softly. “There’s about seven more, maybe even a few that I don’t know about. I’ve been waiting five hundred years for you to call me Mitsu again.” Matthew stated as he looked into her face. It took everything he had not to wrap his arms tightly around her, and the inner struggle that he was going through didn’t even remotely come close to the battle that he could feel within her.

When Fyn didn't speak, Hana continued, "Doesn't matter anymore. You know what? Fine, stay there. We don't care. I don't care. I knew I should have done it from the start. You are the destruction of us all, Fyn." Fyn stuttered, "Done what?" At least that's what he wanted to ask. Except he didn't get a chance. The sound of everything seemed to disappear, and time seemed to slow down. Embers and charcoal flew across the air, the wind kissing his skin. Fyn felt boiling hot. Sweat dripped from places he didn't even realize could sweat. The fire was bigger now, and the silence so loud it felt like there was a ringing inside of his head. Time was slowing as Fyn watched Hana raise her hand.
