The Lost Princess of the Alpha King
I move through silent corridors, past sleeping guards, under arches carved with the Silvermoon crest.
At last, I find the door. It looks like part of the wall, but my mark pulses against the stone, and it swings open.
Inside, a group of wolves huddles around a single candle. They rise when they see me, eyes wide, weapons drawn.
Then one of them sees my wrist. The silver mark, glowing faintly in the dark.
He falls to his knees. The others follow.
“The princess,” he breathes. “The gods have answered.”
I open my mouth to speak, but before I can, the door behind me slams open.
