I could feel the shreds of my heart inside my chest but I was not ready to give up yet. Damn!! It's not over yet. I don't give up so easily. I decided to take a walk through town, passing through the edges of the forest and I noticed the stares from the town people. Most of them stared openly, especially the women, their eyes widened in shock and admiration as I moved gallantly past them.

Every day, no matter the weather.” Sweet…… The cab ride was quicker than I thought it would be. We arrive at one of the cleanest, petite, charming town that deserve to be on a magazine cover. It is bigger than expected with well decorated stone paths, tall trees, clean windows, lots of small shops consisting of every essential. It looks warm, alive and real. They seemed surrounded by the forest so I understood what Doris meant by “kind of out of campus”.

So I started dressing up for my little walk. I slipped into a simple dress, pulled a cardigan around my shoulders, and tied my hair into a loose ponytail before stepping outside. The moment I crossed the porch, the air greeted me, crisp, carrying the earthy scent of wet grass and the faint smell of woodsmoke from a neighbor’s chimney. The town had shifted in ways both subtle and startling.

The town behind the hotel was quiet, with small shops, trees, and empty benches. The path curved around a little garden with white roses still in bloom. Yet no matter how she tried to reason it out, her heart still fluttered every time those words left his lips. After a long ride, they finally reached another town. Children's laughter echoes down the cobbled streets, chasing the sound of wheels clattering over stone. I pass by a small shop where a group of elderly women sit knitting by the window. Their silver hair is curled to perfection, each one dressed as if ready for an afternoon tea with royalty.
