PRETEND YOU MINE

PRETEND YOU MINE

I still had eyes in my head and wasn't dead. The color of her eyes reminded me of Ivan's eyes. Same green. I wondered what he would think of her when he got a look, the womanizer that he was. I bet he would like her very much. I had to stifle a laugh. Gabrielle would probably tell him to sod off to his face and he would lick his lips and ask her to join him without a hitch. Would be a riot to watch if he ever got his arse here.

A Queen Among Blood

A Queen Among Blood

I say thoughtfully. “How do you figure?” “My animai is a sanguidae who defies everything we know about sanguidaes. I have someone terrorising me in my sleep who looks and sounds exactly like my animai, and yet I know in my heart it’s not him. My eyes tell me it’s him, but instinct and logic tell me otherwise.” “What’s your point?” “Mother said she made me blind so I could see past all distractions. She said to trust the eyes I’ve been given. My point is, what if it’s the same thing? What if the truth we think we see, so to speak, isn’t the truth at all?”

Another amazing story in the A Queen Among series! The characters are amazing, with such depth. The author has such a well thought out mythology, with very thoughtful and thorough explainations, and really pulls you into her universe. I can't wait to see where this story takes us.

This is by far my favourite series! I laughed, cheered and bawled my eyes out. Each book gets better and better and the way each one is connected to the others blows my mind. I'm already itching to find out what happens with Isolde in the next book!

Marked by a Lycan

Marked by a Lycan

I commenced, my tone teetering on the precipice between jest and earnestness, "the truth of the matter is that my eyes do not possess their natural crimson hue. Rather, it is a delightful deception orchestrated by the aid of specialized contact lenses." The words danced off my tongue, bearing the weight of plausible fiction, as I endeavored to weave a narrative that would satiate her inquisitiveness. The subtle balance of amusement and earnestness intertwined within my words, like tendrils of intrigue, as I painted a picture of a deliberate choice to don the captivating allure of crimson, a whimsical touch that lent an air of mystery to my very being.

The Lycan's Gold Digger Wife

Even he had wished that I got the same result as the previous man and had shared in my enthusiasm. “Ughh… sorry, child, no luck this time.” The old man’s face sought my face as he spoke to read my expression; he knew I’d be depressed, or so he thought.” “Right, of course. And there goes my 2k,” Mike murmured with a smile that clearly says the opposite of what’s in his mind. Meanwhile, in my head, the mischievous system had acted up again. Omega Luna Ran Away With Our Twins

Omega Luna Ran Away With Our Twins

But he didn’t move; he even softened his eyes a little, the expression one of enjoyment rather than anger. “Are you pleased with what you see?” he teased. Then he drew back. “But they don’t belong to you.” He turned to look at me. In that moment, I felt as though I was the only person he could see. It was as if I were the only one for him. His blue eyes smouldered at me, and he almost – almost – smiled. It was those kinds of eyes that were the most dangerous, the most deceptive. It was those kinds of eyes that made me a fool.

I'm finding this book really hard to follow. I also don't like how we get Jane's perspective, then Hunters perspective but on the same time period. I feel as though I'm just reading the same chapters over. There's too much going on.

The Bucket List Of A Perfect Marriage

The Bucket List Of A Perfect Marriage

I watch his retreating figure, muttering to myself, "What a despicable personality." "Are you alright?" the man next to me queries, and I turn towards him, a smile forming on my lips. At that moment, I'm momentarily dazzled. This man's eyes possess an enchanting shade of green, sparkling like precious emeralds, the most stunning green eyes I've ever beheld.

MAY

MAY

She greeted them in turn with a smile. When May turned back to glance at the driver, what he said next took her off guard. "You can trick others with that pretty smile of yours but you can't deceive me. If your eyes could show your soul, everyone laughing with you will cry when they see you smile." May's eyes bulged out, "Pardon?"

The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful

Nice book. I love how it treats domestic issues prevalent in a lot of Nigerian homes. I also love how the book doesn't glamorize abuse like other pics I've read in this genre. Seeing as the author is a girl from Bayelsa, it gives me joy that she adds elements of her background in the story.

Chosen Mates, Stolen Fates

Chosen Mates, Stolen Fates

“Yes, but we’ve drugged him enough to keep him out for a while.” “How was he?” “Disoriented, as expected.” “Could he remember anything?” “No.” I wasn’t surprised. It was worth a shot. “What color were his eyes?” Naineeve blinked, as if confused. “I beg your pardon?” “What did his eyes look like?” She paused, brow furrowed. “Like, blood shot, you mean?” “Nevermind.” Deidre had been telling the truth. Naineeve would have noticed if Jack’s eyes had turned gold versus their normal dark brown color. That would be impossible to miss, and likely impossible to feign confusion about, too.

PIECES OF MY PAST.

PIECES OF MY PAST.

Ocean eyes. The kind of eyes that reminded me of someone in my past. Someone who had ripped my heart from my chest and crushed it under his boot with pleasure and mirth. The very person who had played with my feelings and destroyed the slightest reputation I had. Someone who stole everything away from me. My heart. My love. My innocence. My family. My friends. My dreams. My entire life.
