A Time Called You Novels & Stories

Richard entered a few digits and dialed a number. "Why do you call at odd hours whenever you choose to call?" a voice angrily said over the phone. Richard raised his arm up and looked at the time. "It's 4:10pm, how's it an odd hour? Did your brain encounter any virus recently?" Richard sarcastically asked. "Okay, okay. Quickly tell me why you are calling. I know you can't call me just because you want to check on me so why are you calling me?" "You're right," Richard calmly said.

I thought I hadn't slept for long until when I glanced at my wrist watch. "Holy shit!" I exclaimed realizing what time it was. Almost 7am!. I picked up Caleb's call to hear what I expected. He had managed to lure Mason to a hotel room. I am sure that wasn't hard to do. Normally Mason is always after everything on skirt. he must have brainwashed him.

"It’s terrible to think about only you and not being able to see or hold you." "Derrick," I called him, giggling. "It’s been two hours." "Fuck that."

"Well yes, I'm going to call her Bean until I find out her name and it doesn't mean I'll stop calling her that even after I know her name." "That's solely your problem. She's your Goddaughter, call her anything you like. Isn't it dark over there?" "It is. But he is not going to call me till eight pm." "And what's the time now?" I removed my phone from my ears and looked at the time. "Shit, it's already ten minutes to seven! We're not even running at the same time so how did you know I was running late?" "Ava, the only time you kept to time was if it had to do with the hospital. To every other thing, you really couldn't care less! Now, get your ass up out of bed and go get ready!"

Chad looked at the time and said indifferently, "I'll give you half an hour. Let's see who you can call." Theodore smirked angrily. "Hmph, I'll make you regret this!"

8:40 pm: "Where are you currently located? I apologize for the game. Sure, I'm all ears. What's on your mind?" 8:50 pm: "Return to your place of residence." 9:02 pm: "Please return my call, Anastasia. This has lost its humor." 9:10 pm: "I'm not joking around, Anastasia. Please return my call." 9:20 pm: "If you don't contact me within the next two minutes, you'll deeply regret the decision to walk away." 10:00 pm: "I am aware that you are with him, Anastasia. Please answer your phone."

CALLIE I gripped my phone tightly, pacing back and forth in my tiny living room. My heart was racing faster than the snowstorm brewing outside. This was it. Tonight was the night. Without overthinking it, I hit Sophie’s name in my contacts and she picked up after the second ring. “Callie?” she answered. “Do you know what time it is?” “Sophie, I can’t wait anymore, and besides, it's just 9 p.m,” I blurted out. “Tonight is the night.”

Just as he was about to lower it into the ground, his phone buzzed. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught the caller ID: Ima. He answered, his face shifting from shock to anger in seconds. Whipping around, he fixed me with a glare. "Winona, this is all your doing!" I blinked, all innocence. "What's wrong, honey?" "Ima was attacked! Was it you? Really pulling this during my mom's funeral?" I shook my head. "I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't do anything."

“Why are you calling?” “Calm down bud, it’s been over twenty four hours since I’ve given you my card and you haven’t given me any call. I might as well do that for you, I’m calling you on your behalf. Let’s set up that tea or coffee appointment I spoke about, and discuss business like we agreed on. What do you say about today’s noon at the GreenHouse cafe? I’ll be on time,” he conveyed to me in his English accent. I rolled my eyes.
