Abbie was only a junior, though, so there was always next year's prom to do it for real. "What do you think Alex would do if he could see us now?" Abbie broke into grins. Sweaty, panting grins. After the song ended she leaned against the counter facing me and asked, “Can I make it play whatever I want?” “Whatever your heart desires,” I said and she gave me a mischievous grin and bit her lip.
