Recessive Alphas occupy the upper middle class, while recessive omegas are the most socioeconomically disadvantaged; due to their frail bodies and frequent heat periods, they are deemed unsuitable for commercial workplaces;

This ties the life forces of the two together, preventing the king and queen from fully dying when the bonded one is still alive. Gabrielle ended up killing the brother of Adrian, Levi. Levi was the king of Envy and wasn't bonded to anyone (none of the Kings are, except for Adrian now). This led to Envy being fully vulnerable.
