Accidentally Finding My Perfect Match
I heaved a huge sigh, my shoulders suddenly heavy with an invisible weight, and my chest tight with a tumultuous mix of trepidation tinged with disbelief.
“Mum, I just heard the craziest thing from Heather,” I said, and she instantly seemed interested.
Of course, she would be. Heather was her favorite daughter after all.
But, that didn’t matter now.
“What happened to her? Is she okay? Where is she?” Mum tumbled out, gripping my arms.
“She is fine,” I replied, “Mum, Heather is pregnant with another man’s child. I saw her and the man arguing outside the store a couple of minutes ago. This is bad.”
