Because I had the Ace of clubs, I didn’t need to worry about anyone getting a royal flush. I felt slightly anxious as Dominic took his sweet time putting down the next card. So far, I had a three-of-a-kind, which wasn’t the highest, but it was a good start. I still had a chance as long as no one had a flush or a straight.
