A Gift from the Goddess

A Gift from the Goddess

“And didn’t Myra say that our abilities originated from her? That she was Selene’s mother?” “That’s right,” she confirmed. “Thea was a titan Goddess and the mother to both Selene, Goddess of the Moon, and Helios, the God of the Sun. It’s said that, when Helios was killed out of fear of the new generation of Gods, Selene didn’t take the news lightly. She had loved her twin more than anything... and maybe that was too much. Wrought with grief from his death, she then walked to the river he had drowned, the Argyros River, or the Silver Lake as it’s now known, and followed after him to be reborn as a new god of nature.”

I just finished reading this story, and I have to say: I am speechless. This is the first story on this app that has completely captivated me. Finally, there are fresh, new plot elements—instead of the usual clichés you read on this app time and time again.

Divine Academy

Divine Academy

Katrina whispered before she fainted; luckily, Aphelion was quick enough to catch her in his arms. "Wow." When she was in his arms, he said breathlessly, "Do you feel the sparks when you touch her?" He asked. "More like a surge in my power," I responded, watching over Katrina carefully. "That must be what I'm feeling too." Aphelion was the Heir to the Kingdom in the sky, he was the firstborn son of Zeus and Hera, so it made sense that a surge in his power would feel like sparks erupting. "Did you have to scare her?" Beckett asked, turning towards Samael, his eyes swirling with the power of the ocean.

Professor Damaris also said that every Summoner has a spirit animal who can protect and guide them. The Healing Caste is the sixth caste in the Olympus wherein people like Dr. Foster have the ability to heal and revive someone from death. If not so, others from this caste can create different kinds of potions—good potions to be exact. Professor Damaris didn’t elaborate on it because she said that I’m able to know it soon.

The Cursed Riding Hood

The Cursed Riding Hood

She was adamant that this old woman was scanning her from head to toe. “The gods are the designers, and we mortals are their playthings. Malum had a gift of showing his people his own presence. His hunters were the swiftest predators in the entire valley, their eyes glew in the dark and they could travel with the speed of wind. In some legends, his most devout followers didn’t even need to rely on weaponry, their claws and sharp fangs all sufficient for taking down even the mightiest of the prey. They became known as, “Achylis”.

His instructions must be carried out to the tiniest detail, or else he gets rid of you and makes another wolf, just like you. I ask as I edge closer to the fast flowing water. After she reaches the other side, she replies, “As a priestess of the moon goddess, I must journey many places and this realm is one we spend much time studying and training in. The Goddess has beings in all realms, your mate, Raiden, and other Chimera Fae are some of her most uniquely special children, just as are Lycans, Werewolves and Vampires.” “How many Chimera Fae have you met?” I ask.

“But this text does not.” A faint prickle runs down the back of my neck, and Leo’s chair creaks as he moves restlessly. “What does it focus on?” Callen asks. Ronnie takes a slow breath. “Remember how I told you about the children of Hyperion and Theia?” “Who?” Alaric finally speaks. “Hyperion is the Titan of heavenly light, and Theia is the Titaness of sight and ether.” “Okay, let’s all pretend that we know what ether is and get to the good part.”

Loving this book so far! Author, as many have stated in the chapter comments, 291 & 292 are repeat chapters from 283 & 284. Though I do believe they should be at 291/292 (makes more sense) and not 283/284.

Rejected By The Alpha, Cursed By The Moon Goddess

Rejected By The Alpha, Cursed By The Moon Goddess

It was all coming together, the tapestry, the writings as the story they told. I can remember now. That wasn't just a story, it was a prophecy. A prophecy that spoke of Xavier and Lyra. Like I was induced I began to tell the story. "Aethonixa, the moon goddess, had a love affair with a werewolf named Khaos.” “But Khaos, driven by fury, murdered Aethonixa.” “He was cursed to roam, burning with rage, until he found the moon goddess and set things straight.” “For centuries, Khaos wandered, consumed by anger and pain.”
