My breath came in harsh gasps, much too fast to be remotely normal. I was lost, and I couldn't tell what direction I was going anymore. I had to hide, I had to hide! I felt the bullet hit my shoulder before I heard the shot, and I fell to the ground, rolling over and over. I screamed when I registered the pain. Shit shit shit. These men feared me, respected me but fear did not erase curiosity. When the doors finally slid shut behind the last executive, i allowed myself to breathe, the glass walls reflecting only my own image back at me. Perfect suit. Controlled expression.
