Addams Morticia Novels & Stories

He wasn’t coming back from that. “Mam?” Someone said coming around the corner and then gasped seeing her with blood down her front and hands. Three dead men and a woman with solid black eyes. She hissed at him and then took off faster than he could see. She was after all a creature of nightmares, and no remorse was there for what she did or the mortal she scared.

She looked at me and I shook my head and closed my eyes. Until the crying, begging and the screaming stopped. I looked at them and I saw the girl with her shorts down and her shirt up no longer moving. Her eyes are open and still facing me. She is dead. They killed her and it is just nothing to them. POOR GIRL.

I was still on the same bed I’d been punctured on, only now I was wearing clothes, and the needles were gone. Sitting beside me was a woman dressed in black from her head to her toes. She wore a black hat, her eyes were as dark as a raven’s, and her smile made me shift uneasily. “Who the hell are you?” I asked as she sat there, staring and smiling at me. “I’m Morticia,” the woman said. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. After the way Grey and the organization have been bragging about you, I just knew, darling—you’re special.”

Then I picked it up. "Rhodes." "Ms. Rhodes." The voice was low and unhurried and carrying beneath it something that was almost amusement — the particular quality of someone who found most situations mildly entertaining and saw no reason to pretend otherwise. "We haven't been introduced properly. My name is Morticia Vale." Across the room Liam watched my face. I kept it exactly where it was. "I've been wondering when you'd call," I said. A sound on the other end. Not quite a laugh. Something more considered than a laugh.
