After he drives away, I slip back into Andree's house. I'm so thirsty. I make the trek to the kitchen and pour myself a glass of milk, and see it. A plate, piled high with chocolate chip cookies, sitting right next to the microwave on the counter. Well, a single cookie won't hurt anyone. I look left and right to make sure there's no one coming, before taking a cookie and stuffing it into my mouth in one bite. It melts in my mouth. Oh my god. I take one more, and another one and another one, until there is just one left on the plate. I reach out to take the last one but stop when I hear the click of a picture being taken.

"Oh look," he said, heading towards a certain shelf in the aisle. Curious, she followed behind him while he reached and grabbed a packet of spicy barbeque-flavored potato chips, his favorite snack. I said. I could hear the soft crisp laughter from across the phone. "No problem. I'll still tell you anything." An hour later, I had made more lemon crinkle cookies than I expected. Rose, Jasmine and Violet had just gone through a series of nosebleeds almost simultaneously, so I made the cookies to make them feel better. They ate their fill, but there were still two jars left over. Gloria refused to eat more, suggesting I take the rest of the cookies to the packhouse. Well, it wouldn’t hurt to share.

"Sure. However many you want, I’ll make them all for you." A supporter shoved a phone toward me, camera aimed straight at my hands. "Hurry up. There are already millions watching the livestream. I glanced at Mara, then lowered my head and began wrapping the fortune cookie. Whatever message she asked for, I gave it to her. She quickly swallowed the second one. Still, there were no signs of pregnancy. Her face darkened even further, her voice turning sharp. "Make me another one! Bigger! Make it bigger!"

Lucas froze for a moment, wide-eyed, but when no one came rushing in, he shrugged and snatched the cookies. He jumped off the stool, hugging the packet tightly to his chest like a prized treasure. Back in Aurora’s room, Lucas found her still asleep. He gave her a quick glance but didn’t bother to wake her again, content to munch on his newfound snack.

Finally she opened the bag and it had a tomato and avocado sandwich, a bottle of ginger ale and a huge cookie inside of it. She smiled, at first this didn't have her boss written all over it but now it did. He was trying to woo her, being undeniably sweet—she didn't like that, whatever game he was playing was working as she took a seat and took a bite of her cookie, letting out a moan as it melted straight into her mouth with the fudge-y insides dancing with her taste buds. It was merely a coincidence as there was no way he knew her favorite cookie was the warm fudge with marshmallow toasted on it.

Magical Unicorn Cookie It’s a colorful, chocolate and candy stuffed cookie in supersize and looks like he brought it back with him from wherever they were today. My heart does a happy little skip and almost melts with the gooeyness of how incredibly cute he can be when I least expect it.
