I ask him. “Let’s see if he hasn’t changed the setting.” I give way for him to step closer to the door. After about a minute, he turns to look at me and whispers, “I think it’s done now. And the passcode is still the same.” I nod in response. Then he slowly pushes the door open and carefully steps inside. We follow behind him. We carefully venture further into the cabin, staying alert as we look left and right for signs of him. Just when we get closer to the lounge where the kids are, Marcel suddenly emerges from a door. He freezes in shock when he sees us, his eyes widening.

Marcel was someone who valued things and she could see that it hadn't changed after all these years. Marcel mumbled something about showing her the room and started walking and she walked after him slowly, taking a step at every two steps he took. They climbed the stairs and kept walking. Marcel stopped when they went to a huge two-slide door that he pushed open to reveal a whole new world in the form of a room. It was fucking beautiful. She couldn't help but gasp as she entered into the room and stared around. The room was painted and decorated in gray colors. Not like she hated them. Gray used to be one of her best colors when she was younger.

Susanna let out a bitter laugh, but before she could say anything, Marceline called out to the maids. “Clara! Grace!” Within seconds, the maids had appeared, their heads bowed. “You called, madam?” one of them asked. Marceline’s eyes narrowed, her voice dropping to a dangerous tone even though her eyes never left Susanna. “You two will help Susanna clear out her things out of the room. I don’t want to see even a stray earring lying around when you’re done.” “Yes, ma’am.” The maids nodded again, before moving past Susanna and entering the bedroom. From where I stood, I could hear a box being unzipped.

Marceline’s POV I walked straight to the closet as soon as I entered the bedroom. Without wasting time, I changed out of the clothes I was wearing into something far more fashionable. Today, I had plans...shopping for outfits and jewelry. There was this new brand in town that Celesta had been raving about. So I decided to check it out...typically the kind of thing a wealthy housewife would do. I paused before the standing mirror, admiring myself. Gorgeous, I whispered, smiling at my reflection. I grabbed my bag, slid in my payment cards, and picked up my car key.

"Of course. Let me know what I can do." She pointed at the wooden stairs. "If you go upstairs, you will find Marlene's office on the left. She always keeps candles in the closet. We need five white candles and two black ones." I went upstairs as she told me. Marlene's cabinet turned out to be one huge mess, with tons of books lying on the floor and papers flying around the room. Fortunately, it was easy to find a massive ebony closet with beautifully carved flowery ornaments. I opened it, and the candles rolled out all over the floor. Well, at least I didn't have to look for them for too long.

He didn't know how much longer he could keep this up. Finally, he saw a door at the end of the hallway. He could see the sunlight streaming in through the crack at the bottom of the door. It was the way out. Marcellus sprinted towards the door, hoping it wasn't locked. He slammed into the door, and it burst open, instead of being outside, he found himself in another room full of equipments. He turned and was faced with another witch, she looked at him, smiling. Why are they always smiling? Marcellus said in his mind.

Threatening him will only exacerbate the chaos and bloodshed. Marcel was distracted when a knock on his door resonated around the room. He excused his man first before letting whoever this was in. His mouth twisted into a smirk as soon as the door opened. "Bold of you to go here," Marcel said, crumpling the image in his palm. Adam's gaze was pulled to it briefly, then Marcel swiftly slid the photograph into the dumpster. Adam stated, "Mom was doing fine, if that's what you'd like to ask," maintaining his emotionless demeanor throughout the conversation. He was met by Marcel's mocking laughter as though he had made some absurd assertion.

That night I can barely sleep, tomorrow is Friday so I just have to wait one more day till I find out what Carlos has in store for me. The next day drags on, my thoughts are too preoccupied to sketch and Marcels babbling rampage of thoughts and historical facts seem to be in full action all day long make the day feel even more long. When 8pm hits Marcel claps his hands together "I know, let's go get you something nice to wear for tomorrow" I cross my arms and frown at his words "I don't even know where I'm going or what I'm doing, how will I know what to wear?!" I proclaim "well there's no harm in showing up looking your best" he says and quickens his pace ahead towards a bundle of clothing

“Good. I know that you wouldn't dare go against me.” Marcel’s P.O.V I was confused and didn't know what to make of the children’s attitude towards me. The fear in their eyes shattered my heart to pieces and I didn't know what to do to get them into speaking to me. In the mansion, anytime any of them spotted either me or Mae, they would run away and lock themselves in their room. I had just dropped them off at Elodie’s house, who wasn't at home and I took back the shopping bags containing the clothes that I had gotten for her. I could have handed it over to the housekeeper but something inside of me wanted me to give it to her myself.

When Gale opened the door, she saw a doll taller than the door, blocking the entire door tightly without a single gap. "Hello, is this Gale? Please sign for it." The courier forced the doll into the door with difficulty. This was just the beginning. Immediately afterward, the salesperson at the counter of the mall came with large and small bags. Gale signed off on everything, and soon the wards were almost overwhelmed with toys.
