I leaned back, my gaze sharpening, my mind swirling and operating at a high degree. "We’ll need numbers. Pick a group of our best fighters and send them across the realm. I don’t care how far they have to travel or what filth they have to wade through—find every rogue worth their fangs and bring them into the Dominion. Offer them strength, protection, a place to belong. If they refuse..." My lips curled slightly. "Make sure they understand the consequences." Aedric hesitated for only a second before bowing his head. "I’ll make the arrangements."

While it was strange, and rather annoying that it took so long, I can’t say I didn’t enjoy my time with the little Human. It’s funny how time can change things. It was almost as if the realms were playing a cruel joke on me. I’m Dominik, the dark side of an Archangel. I have no good in me, and I haven’t loved anyone ever in my entire life. Chase nodded and shook his hand. “Hello dear cousin,” Chase said with a sparkle in his eye. I knew that he and Dominic had spent so much time together as kids and had an amazing friendship. “What the hell are you doing here?” Dominic grinned. “A little spark told me that my services were required by our new king and queen. And my beautiful mate said that I had something to bring home,” he shrugged “Of course I would come, and I brought with me a few good men.” he looked behind him and then smirked “Well three hundred and sixty-five to be exact,” I looked out with amazement across the rows of warriors.

DOMINIC As I stood before the looming fortress that belonged to the notorious and ruthless Zack Burnet, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of invincibility coursing through my veins. The desolate landscape around me matched the emptiness inside my heart, and I knew I had come here alone for a reason. It wasn’t because I lacked allies or help in my mission to rescue Rebecca, the woman I loved. No, it was because I believed that Zack Burnet owed me a debt that only I could collect.

I'd spent all night thinking about it, and I figured my cousin—Dominic, Alpha of the Obsidians—was the perfect match for her. Thirty minutes later, I walked into the Obsidian packhouse. I pushed open the study doors to find Dominic lounging in front of the window, sipping an extra-strong espresso spiked with blood-booster. "Zander?" He jumped up and gave me a massive bear hug. "What are you doing here? You fully recovered?" I sat on the sofa opposite him. "I need a favor." Dominic lit up instantly. "Name it! You want me to go hunt a frost giant in the North? I'm in!"

It was a new message from him. Dominanttothecore: “Yes. You can call me Dom while we talk, and if we meet up, I demand it. It is good that you asked. I’ve read your profile, and I like what I see.
