The Domineer party took off into the woods toward Ramon’s territories. The numbers on both sides were small; only around fifteen of the best Runners had set out to hunt the scouting party, but it did not hinder their ability to decimate the Domineers’ numbers with every moment that passed. The only Domineer who was iron willed enough to challenge the Ravennites was Rand, swinging his axes with such force that he knocked his adversaries off their feet as he slayed them.

The rest of the dinner was the usual with the whole family being merry. Serena lay in bed as she thought how her brother is soon going to be passed on the duty of the beta. Damon is 22 and the gamma’s son is 23 but both of them have had to wait till her brother’s best friend, the alpha’s son Vante is 22, his birthday is in a month. They waited because in our pack the ceremony is held only after all three of them, three of them referring to the people taking the position of Alpha, Beta and Gamma are of age that is 22. The elder offered an apologetic smile. “It is.” The room became still. “You know why we ask this. We don’t want a scenario whereby in future Luna Lyra finds another mate. You must choose her as your mate.” Dominic’s answer came without hesitation. “No.” The elder frowned slightly. “No?” “I already have a mate.” The room fell silent. Seeing the confusion on the elders’ faces, Dominic let out a slow breath before continuing. “During my journey to Ashbourne, I accomplished two things. I found the girl you sent me to look for...” He paused briefly before adding, “...and I also found my mate.”

I need answers. "I see you are curious. Let us begin on a proper note. I am Dwayne, the Alpha of the Redclaw pack.
