UPRISING

UPRISING

Marcus, Eudora, and Ariadne maintained a semblance of composure, their gazes unwavering despite the weight of impending judgment. King Gaius, his eyes ablaze with the fire of wrath, surveyed the defiant assembly. "You dare defy the throne? Conspire against the king?" His voice, a thunderous proclamation, reverberated through the chamber. Marcus, undeterred, spoke with measured conviction. "Our actions are driven by the love we bear for Athena. We seek to preserve the democracy that defines our great city." Gaius, however, was unmoved. "Your notions of democracy are futile. I am the embodiment of Athena's will, and any challenge to me is a challenge to the very essence of this city."

Aquilus made a sound of amazement, “Behold, the renowned Virsathen!” He pointed a high, magnificent floating isle where water sprang. They all looked up to it, slack-jawed and unable to speak. It was an amazing sight to look at. It almost reached the sky and the falling water appeared like angel’s wings. With the sight of the Virsathen, Ellaine remembered her dream. She once wanted to see it to know if it really was the same tree she dreamt about. Now she would finally find out. But if she did find it out, what would she do next?

The Peculiar Morass

The Peculiar Morass

Sometimes it is used to torture prisoners before they are boiled alive. "I did not imagine that there are too many ways to enter hell. Which among them are real and a myth?" Ahri is confused about which portal they should stick to. They still haven't done browsing for a passageway. The oldest on this list; a diabolical portal well-known to the ancient Romans, and first described in writing over 2,000 years ago. In his classic work The Aeneid, Virgil describes a cave with a hundred entrances that led deep beneath the earth—and as far as the underworld itself.

The Destroyer

Anicetus spoke, though he seemed at a loss of what to call Ismene-Eirene. "Lord Hades, Lady Persephone." I greeted, bowing. "May I introduce my fiancé Lady Ismene-Eirene?" I introduced. "Welcome," Persephone repeated, nodding in respect. Ismene-Eirene bowed to Lord Hades and Lady Persephone, snapping her fingers to command Alexis. The hound eagerly leaped from the wagon to be at her side. "It is an honor to meet you, Lord Hades and Lady Persephone," she said.

A very good read but the ending was suddenly abrupt. After not having an update for longer than normal, I came to check the comments to see if others were clamoring for updates only to see that the story status now said completed. That said, I hope to see other stories set in this world.

What a brilliant and enjoyable read. Fantastic characters, great storyline, definitely a book I could not put down and would happily keep reading if there were more chapters! Looking forward to reading a sequel very soon in the future, thank you author!

The Queen's Heir

The Queen's Heir

His hand moved freely across the page now, with the same confidence he had found that afternoon in the garden, knowing that he was part of something greater than himself. Eirene picked up her lyre and began to play, her music weaving through the hall like golden thread, connecting everyone and everything in a tapestry of sound and feeling. The melody she played was one she had composed that very evening, inspired by her walk with Lysander, by the beauty of Olympus and the city below, by the harmony that had grown from a single journey to a small farm so many years ago.

Suddenly i became a goddess!

Suddenly i became a goddess!

Help me save him. I pressed my hands to my body, searching for something—anything—that might awaken the memories of Athena. A memory surged forward, vivid and overwhelming. I saw myself—or rather, Athena—standing tall, her presence radiant and commanding. Lucius was beside her, his hands tenderly cupping her face as he kissed her. The memory was fleeting but powerful, filling me with warmth and sorrow. When I returned to the present, my body still felt weak, devoid of the power I had prayed for. My heart sank, but then I saw it—energy coursing through Lucius.

Aeneas finally speaks and I can't help to chuckle, being all part of a misunderstanding, Viorra's cheeks are deep red and her wide eyes look at him with surprise. "Ok then, that made things clear. There is nothing for you to worry about him, Vi. He is an ancient pain in the ass, but he has our trust and he trusts us as well. He is not going to bother you anymore, and you are under our protection as a future pack member, and being Kade's mate." I say to her and she relaxes a little more, still somewhat embarrassed by what he said. Aeneas chuckles again and then walks towards us, making Vi alert. He reaches us and then stops, extending his hand. "We are not friends, but we can at least be alli

Violet As soon as I was on my feet again, I steadied myself and didn’t waste a second. I didn’t think too much about it and just went for it. The returning burn hit my eyes, and they glowed white. I turned just in time to see Aelius step forward through the small path that had been created for him. His hands lifted, and his eyes matched mine, glowing even heavier than before. Whatever had been drained from him before was back now, which meant his plan must have worked. He had somehow borrowed strength from his ancestors.

A year has already passed, and the book is still not finished. Although it is very well written (except for the chapters where the action drags), I have started to get bored. I keep waiting for “ the war that ends the world” but it never comes.

I used to wait for the chapters but now it is unnecessarily dragged on. Author builds up for climax so nicely but unfortunately it never comes which leaves reader frustrated and at some point gives up ( like me). Seems like lot of tease without any ending.

THE LUNA REBIRTH: REVENGE UNDER THE MOON

THE LUNA REBIRTH: REVENGE UNDER THE MOON

Aiden flanked from the side, his sword meeting Vaelor’s twisted armor with defiant sparks. But it wasn’t enough. Vaelor’s power was infinite. He laughed as he tossed Aiden aside and backhanded Iris through a boulder. Only the boy remained, standing still. Vaelor approached him. “You are mine,” he said. The boy looked up. “You misunderstand.” He raised his small hands. Golden vines burst from the earth. They wrapped around Vaelor’s legs, arms, and neck. The god screamed—not in pain, but in rage.

The Tycoon’s Temptress - Red Flower’s Chase

He nodded once, like he mabe deserved that. But I saw the smallest flicker of hope in his eyes. Hope I’d stop glaring long enough to translate the whole thing. I took a deep breath as I read the Sumerian cuneiform inscription: ’When giants labored beneath the burning sky, Feasting on fruit the sun raised high, Their bowls would tilt, the nectar slide, And carve the steps in molten stride. At Hathor’s gate, the stones drank fire, Forged to endure what time desires.’
