ASTRA When I was a kid, back when I wasn’t even in high school just yet, the bookstore is my favorite hangout place for so many reasons. I love reading! I love discovering new ideas! It is also my mother’s work place after she quit designing for a high end brand. But most importantly, there’s this particular type of reading material I always love to check out during my free time. A visual book. A magazine. In those pages, there are beautiful tall women wearing elegant clothes. They look mysterious and intimidating. My mother calls them a model. She then mentioned that she use to work with those kind of women before.

It’s similar to our room back at the penthouse. But this one has some changes, there’s no sign of me. It’s a typical men’s room but one that is organised, and I’m not talking about it being clean, but the décor and the books are all placed in an organised manner. I walk through the room, brushing my fingers along the black furniture. There are a few frames amongst his books. Mostly photographs of gorgeous sceneries. The first one is of a sunset on a beach, the second a sunny day in a forest, and the third- I stop as I pick it up, my heart racing as I scan the first two.

The bookshelf was a dark mahogany, the same material as Athena’s work desk and it was literally as tall as her (and she wasn’t even a short woman), filled with serious-looking books of different colors and sizes but still managing to look well-organized so Proserpina took ample care as she allowed her gloved fingers to brush by the books here and there, silently mulling over which one she will read because she fully intended to get lost in a story to pass the time now… because glaring at her baby brother’s future schoolmates might be considered as a sign of hostility by the older goddess. Artemisia had briefly forgotten that that day wasn't normal, she's starting to realize, and think, that maybe she's not the one who's going crazy. The girl approached the shelves and Helga's voice danced again in her mind. "The navy blue cover book will tell you a story, I can't tell you which one, only the book is entitled to that." Artemisia didn't understand, but soon found the book near the second door. It was a heavy book, but not as thick as expected. It had a glow reminiscent of sunbeams touching the greenish water of a river or lake. It also had nymphs drawn on the cover and side of the leaves.

I didn't want Alexis to leave at the same time I didn't want him to hear what the seer would say to me, he seemed nervous about leaving me alone with the seer and I hated that. Adrian laughed quietly. “Which, for the record, you are losing.” “Absolutely not.” “I refuse to let you organize books by emotional vibe.” “It’s called aesthetic intelligence.” “It’s called chaos.” She shoved him lightly while laughing. She smiles, and I nod, as w esay bye, and I end the call. ___________ I walk into the bookshop, I'm wearing a blue sundress, my hair is plaited into a bun, glasses perched on my nose, and a nude bag. I stare round the bookshop, It's aesthetic, giving p*******t-y vibe, I smile, loving the decor, and the music playing softly, I recognize it as one of Halsey's masterpiece - Clementine. "Hello." I smile at the woman behind the counter, I look at the book she's reading, and I smile in approval.

Anna teased, settling onto the plush carpet in the sprawling library, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. They worked together in comfortable silence, the rhythmic sound of the rain outside creating a cozy atmosphere. Dylan was on a ladder, dusting the top shelves, while Anna organized the lower ones, carefully stacking books by genre. It was while she was moving a small stack of books about art history that she discovered it: a heavy, slightly faded, maroon velvet photo album, tucked away behind a row of volumes on Renaissance architecture. It was clearly old, pre-dating his minimalist, current aesthetic.

Emily's POV: As I lifted the lid of the box, I was taken aback by the beautiful silver necklace, adorned with a small crystal pendant that sparkled like a diamond. But that wasn't all - nestled beside the necklace lay a small, leather-bound book, its cover embossed with the title "You Are Beautiful" in elegant, cursive script. I felt a lump form in my throat as I picked up the book, running my fingers over the soft cover. "Ethan, this is...wow."
