Reborn to Defy Fate
I had rehearsed this conversation a thousand times in my head, but now that it was here, the words felt like shards in my throat.
“I’m not… who you think I am,” I began slowly. “Or rather, I am, but I’ve… lived this life before.”
His brow furrowed, but he didn’t interrupt.
“I died once,” I said, the words heavier than I expected. “And I was given… another chance. A rebirth. Same body. Same world. But a different path. That’s why I know things I shouldn’t. That’s why I make choices that don’t make sense to you.”
