Horror Nights

Horror Nights

"I don't work for this world anymore, Julian. This world is closed. The ledger for Earth was finalized an hour ago. Every soul has been accounted for and moved to the next Great Cycle." "But I'm still here!" "You aren't," Death says, and for the first time, I see a flicker of pity in his eyes. "In the eyes of the universe, you were settled centuries ago. You are a rounding error. A ghost in the machine. I cannot take what is already recorded as gone." He begins to fade into the mist. "Wait!" I shriek, dragging myself toward him. "What happens to me? What do I do?" His voice comes from everywhere and nowhere, a final, fading whisper.

The Twelve Scions

The Twelve Scions

He cautiously eyed on the three wisps floating near their seat. "Sometimes they do cross over to the surface and make their impression, yeah." "If ghosts are a kind of djinns, then... where do we go after we die? Not here?" "Nah, straight up to the Afterlife, Purgatory, Barzakh, or however you called it," Vayu said. "That happens to everyone, even to those who lives long like djinns. We don't linger around and messing up furniture after we die. That'd be great, though."

Bloodline

Bloodline

Death said, feigning shock in his eyes. “You know what, you’re going to do whatever you want to do, I’m not going to play your game, piss off, I’m busy,” Kiran said, and stood up. “Grumpy, grumpy. Is Adara not attending to your needs?” Death asked, as Kiran stopped right in front of the door, then he burst out laughing as Kiran turned around. “You’re pretty low on the social scales in the afterlife, so like I said, piss off,” Kiran said, and walked out of the office as Death glared at him.

After Death, I Gave Up

After Death, I Gave Up

"Come home, sweetheart. I'll make your favorite lemonade fried chicken." In my previous life, my grandmother, who'd spent her days quietly in the countryside, somehow found out my death. She mourned for a long time, fell ill, and her health never recovered. She passed away not long after. As soon as I got off the bus, she hurried over and took the luggage from my hands. "Come on," she said cheerfully. "Let's go home. The lemonade fried chicken is ready." The small house wasn't much to look at, but it held every piece of my childhood.

DIVE INTO YOU

DIVE INTO YOU

Authoress B
The thoughts that she had drowned and came to the afterlife caused her feet to wobble. She was dead, she was already dead and her Dad had come to welcome her to the hereafter. Oh, no! She was not supposed to die, she was not supposed to die yet. She still had lots of things she had not done yet.

Life After (Post apocalyptic book)

Life After (Post apocalyptic book)

Bebo Elnadi
I pushed his weight off of me and jumped backward. His pack circled me and I bared my canines at them and flexed my claws. I eyed my opponents and circled them, too. These were wolves that got infected and stayed in that form. The thing about that virus was that it keeps you in that state, neither dead nor alive. Just an empty husk of yourself, while your mind weathered and your flesh rot. Scientists didn’t know what the reason for this change was. And they couldn’t know why some people got sick while the others didn’t.

This is a book to read!!! It takes you on a roller-coaster of emotions but is worth it. It's a relatively short novel but worth the read. I don't think I have ever read a book that made me feel so much. All I can say is WOW, what a Jewel of a book.

Death Bed

DafireA
"She couldn't speak. She could barely breathe. When I saw that... it scared me... I wanted to call a doctor, an ambulance, someone to help. She called me over, to-told me to sit down and listen carefully. She said she wanted me to promise her something before she goes..." Damien let out a sigh and wiped his tears. Ashleigh could feel tears building up in her eyes too. "She said I should promise to move on and continue being a good man... promise to live life to the fullest and not let anything stop me from doing so... be it sickness, be it poverty, be it loss, I should take it all as it comes. "I promised her I would then she... sh-she closed her eyes a-a-and that was it. She just... died...
