Liam stared down at the young lady lying on the floor, he was still mystified on how she got to his spring. No one was allowed in the grand castle except the king's officials but this young lady suddenly popped out of his spring. How she was able to get there still remained a mystery to him. He had wielded a sword at her to scare her, hoping that she would reveal her identity and how she got the spring but who would have thought that she was a scardy cat who fainted at the sight of a sword?
May slowly opened her eyes as she touched her head which ached a little. She tried to remember what had happened before she fainted. Who was that man? How dare he point a sword at her?
"You are awake." She heard a deep voice behind her.
She got up from the cold floor as she looked at the young man from earlier, there she noticed she was in what looked like a cell. She was in a cell?
"Where am i?"
"Prison." He replied shortly.
His reply left her mouth agape. In her entire life, she had neither been to a police station nor a prison but this young man had the audacity to put her in a prison. Does he even know who she is?
"Release me this instant." She ordered but her words only earned an annoying scoff from him. May could not believe she was treated this way. She had always been treated with respect, she had been treated like she was a demigod but this young man, this annoyingly gorgeous young man from no where just treated like she was a piece of trash and what? He didn't even know who she was? What planet was he even from? First, he wielded a sword at her and now, he put her in a prison. She clenched her fist as she tried to calm down as she was getting really annoyed. "You dare treat a top star this way? I swear i am going to get the police to arrest you and put you in prison for the rest of your life for treating me this way, i promise you."
The third prince had a puzzled expression on his face as though the young lady had just spoken a foreign language that he didn't understand. "Police?" He repeated then he shook his head and began to walk away.
May held the prison gate as she watched him leave. Was he leaving? He was really leaving her here?
"Hey! Where are you going? Are you walking out on me? Don't you know who i am? I am May Edwards, top star May Edwards so don't you dare walk out on me. Hey!" Even as she shouted, the young man did not stop walking. She watched him leave until he was out of sight. She hit the gate with annoyance as she could not believe the young man left her stuck in here. She groaned loudly, frustrated with what was happening and paced around as she began to think of what to do next. She could not even understand how she got here, how on earth did she get to that place? And what was with this weird cloth? The last thing she remembered was being pushed off the bridge. What on earth happened that made her come here? Or did the river bring her to this side?
She was still thinking about how she got to this strange place when she heard footsteps approaching. She smiled as she thought it was the stoic young man from earlier that was approaching. 'He was probably coming back to apologize to her after finding out about her identity.' She thought to herself as she looked out of the gate only to see a stunning young lady about the same age as her approaching. The young lady wore a long peach ancient dress with lots of ornaments, her unique facial features and delicate steps reminded her of the word 'Royalty' that was the aura this young lady was emitting but May would have found the young lady really stunning if she wasn't glaring at her.
Princess Ingrid stopped as she glared at May then she shook her head. She had always known her to be a pretender and today she just confirmed it. When she heard a loud scream coming from the third prince's chamber, she rushed in to see who it was, only for her to see the third prince wielding a sword at her. If she had not come into the room, she would have been dead by now.
"I guess as you lost your senses you also lost your manners as well. Do you realize the consequences of the crime you have just committed."
May knitted her brows as she turned to see if the young lady was actually talking to someone else but she saw no one behind her that meant this young lady was talking to her.
"What crime are you talking about?" May asked as she could not fathom this lady's ridiculous question. She was still trying to think of how she got here and this young lady from no where was asking her about the crime she committed. Did she commit any crime?
"How impudent of you to ask such question. I have always known you were not well-behaved as they claimed you to be and today, you just proved me right. You went to the third prince's chamber to spy on him, didn't you? Do you know that he would have killed you that instant if not for me who came to stop him."
May blinked as she tried to understand the words the young lady had just uttered. There were certain words that kept repeating in her head, third prince? Chamber? Spy? What was this lady talking about? She noticed that unlike that young man who didn't know her, this lady kept speaking as though she knew her but from the way she sounded, it was pretty obvious she did not like her. Well, she also had haters as well so it was nothing new. This young lady must probably be one of her anti-fans, it was now beginning to make sense.
"I don't understand the things you've just spoken but i am pretty sure that you are one of my anti-fans, right? Even from the way you've just spoken, i could sense the hate."
The Princess was rendered speechless by her reply. She was supposed to be regretting her actions and begging for mercy but what rubbish did she just spew out? "A. . . anti-fan?" What did she mean by that? She must have really gone mad just like the rumours spreading around the city that the Roy's oldest daughter had gone mad. . . Or she could as well be pretending since she was a really good pretender. She must have thought this was a joke because she believed her Father would come and save her.
"You don't understand? By the time you get a severe punishment for your action, you will then understand what i have just spoken." She said as she stormed out of the prison leaving May absolutely clueless on what was going on.
And as soon as the princess left, another young lady appeared at the prison gate. Unlike the princess, this lady had a small, round and cheerful face but before May could even open her mouth to start questioning her, the young lady grabbed her hand startling her.
"Lady Audree, are you okay? You suddenly went missing for days and we couldn't find you. How did you get into the third prince's chamber? It's a good thing the King of no mercy did not hurt you. What were you even doing at his chamber? A report came to the house that you were caught spying on the third prince, unbelievable!" The young lady spoke so fast and nonstop that May had no chance to interject what she wanted to say and this was getting more confusing and complicating that it made her head spin. What the hell was going on? Who are these people? As she opened her mouth to speak, the young lady cut her off.
"But don't worry, your Father has gone to talk to the King. I am sure he is going to get you out of here." She cut in as she smiled at May, still holding her hands.
"Hold on, did you just say my dad is here?" May asked to be sure if she heard her correctly.
The young lady looked confused for a moment but still answered her question with a smile on her face. "D. . . Dad? Oh, yes. Your Father, he is here."
May gasped the moment she heard her reply. How could her Dad be here when he was already dead? Oh, no. This was not looking good, if her Dad was here then could this be the afterlife? Was. . . . Was she dead already?
May neatly arranged the food she had just prepared on a tray. Although the rice was slightly burnt but she was still confident in her food. She smiled as she stared at the works of art she had just prepared feeling proud of herself. Was there anything she wasn't good at? Even when she obviously had not prepared a meal before in her entire life, she was still able to prepare this delicious-looking work of art even the maidservants looked really astonished by her hidden cooking skills. She bet the Prince would end up licking the plate at how delicious her food was. She smiled again when she was done admiring her food, she carried the tray and headed to the Third prince's lounge. As May left the kitchen, the maidservants who all had a puzzled look on their faces began to murmur at how Lady Audree had almost burnt down the kitchen because she was cooking a strange food for the prince. On getting to the Third prince's lounge, she saw Hadriel, the Sixth prince peeping through the entran
May laid on her bed exhausted at today's activities. It was not as if she even did any chores today, she was just mentally exhausted. As she laid on her mattress, all the events that occured today flashed through her mind. Starting from when she tried to apologise to the Third prince, to when the Third prince shielded her from an arrow, to when she finally apologised, to the Third prince's chamber when he almost..., to the King's chamber and lastly, the large stable. The fact that all these happened in one day, she flushed when she recalled how they had almost kissed and she flushed even deeply when she remembered the words the Third prince had said to her at the stable. ["If that is the case, then keep taking advantage of me. Keep taking advantage of me until you get tired, Ms. Queen of no mercy. You are the only one allowed to take advantage of me."] "You are the only one allowed to take advantage of me." She smiled as she repeated the last words he said to her. "I'm the only one a
The Third prince stood at the large stable, staring at his favourite horse, Amigo. He had wanted to go for a ride to cool off these emotions he was feeling but now that he was here, he no longer had the will to go riding anymore. "Amigo." He called, stroking his horse. And as he stood there, the memories of what happened earlier replayed in his head. He had always been in control of his emotions, he had never showed anyone how pained, hurt and bruised he was but back there, while he watched her defend him, he just lost it. Those emotions he had always hidden, those emotions he had masked within him had just been unmasked by her. That Lady... how does she always manage to bring out that part in him he had thought was long gone? How does she always manage to bring out that self in him he thought he had buried in his heart? Just how? How could he feel this way because of some mere words she had spoken? Was that how lonely he was? Was that how love deprived he was that it felt like
May hopped excitedly still holding the Third prince's hand. She was happy at how she had successfully prevented him from getting punished. She smiled at how she managed to save him this time but as she turned and looked at the Third prince, her smile faded. Unlike her who was hopping in happiness because she saved him, he had a gloomy look on his face and he seemed lost in thoughts. She let go of his hand and cleared her throat to get his attention. "What is it? You don't look happy." Liam looked at the hand she had just let go missing the warmth of her hand. He never knew her hand was that warm until she stopped holding his hand. He raised his head and stared at the young lady giving him a look filled with concerns. May waved her hands at his face when she still did not get a reply from him. "What are you thinking about?" She asked. Seeing him looking all gloomy was just so unlike him, he was not even flashing those annoying smirk of his. "What's your deal?" He fina
A deafening silence reigned in the chamber as they watched the two persons holding hands and staring into each other's eyes. Princess Ingrid clenched her fist tightly that her knuckles had gone white already. Just staring at her holding Liam's hand irked her so much, how dare she... The King thought of what May had said regarding the Third prince. What the young lady said to him bothered him because he knew she was right. He had always had that mindset that the Third prince could harm his brothers. It was all because of that stupid prophecy, it was because of that prophecy that he had always seen the Third prince as a dangerous child that would one day rebel against his brothers and for that reason, he had treated the Third prince differently and ended up being wary of his own son. When did it get to this extent? The King closed his eyes as he felt ashamed of himself. The words the Roy's oldest daughter said to him struck him hard. He opened his eyes and let out a deep sigh. May
The Third prince entered the King's chamber. He met the Queen, Elora, General Nolan, the Crown prince and the Second prince already at the King's chamber. As he entered, they all looked at him as though they had been waiting for his arrival. Liam bowed at them and stood at the center ready to get scolded by them but before they could begin, the Eunuch announced the presence of Princess Ingrid. "Let her in." The King gave his permission and the Eunuch allowed the Princess into the chamber. She bowed and stood beside her brother, Logan. The King stared intently at the Third prince for a while before he began. "It came to my report that you shot an arrow at your brother, Logan. Is that true?" "Yes." Liam simply answered. The King sighed as he had expected that reply from the Prince. "Why did you do that?" Liam arched a brow a bit taken aback by the King's question. In the past, he wouldn't even care to listen to his own side of the story and just ruthlessly punish him but now, did
