After Divorce, My Boss Made Me His Obsession

After Divorce, My Boss Made Me His Obsession

she said after her first sip, “despite the downside, you finally did it. You’re divorced. Nothing ties you to that man anymore.” “I know, right?” I exhaled. Cassia giggled, her eyes glinting. “I swear, I wish I’d recorded his mother’s face today, it was priceless.” That pulled a real laugh from me, loud, genuine, the kind that cracked something open inside me. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe relief, or maybe just Cassia’s presence reminding me I wasn’t alone in the wreckage. “I couldn’t have done any of this without you,” I said, my voice softening.

She trailed behind him, her gaze filled with nothing but resentment. The Unwanted Wife and Her Secret Twins

The Unwanted Wife and Her Secret Twins

"That's the thing about divorce. It strips away all the bullshit. Forces you to figure out who you actually are without the other person." "That sounds painful." "It is." Scarlett's voice has gone quieter. Sincerer. She's stopped stirring her drink. The whirlpool has settled into stillness. "It's really fucking painful. But then it's over and you're—" She shrugs. "—you're you. Just you. Without all the noise." I think about my own divorce. About the months after Kyle left. About lying in bed with newborn twins and feeling like a ghost. Like a person who had stopped existing. The apartment too quiet. The nights too long. The weight of two tiny bodies dependent on me and me alone.

Appreciation to authors writing. it is easy to visualize things while reading. I love reading this book. Mia is an inspiration except for the fact that she is using Thomas. My fav characters are Mia, Kyle, Sarah(Mia's mom), Nate, Scarlett, Katherine(Kyle's mom), Alexander, Ethan and Morton.

great story. thomas lied cause he was jealous while kyle lied cause he wanted to protect her. she clearly loves kyle even though she doesn't admit it and is only with thomas since he gives a sence of security/love to her and kids. i hope kyle and mia clear their misunderstandings and end up together

The Rival Alphas Shared Human Mate

The Rival Alphas Shared Human Mate

I made cool money while working nine to five but I also made a lot once my books blew up. “Wow, I can’t imagine how you must have felt.” I shook my head. “I did feel hateful in the beginning but I had to focus on getting better and also get used to being divorced and alone so that wasn’t a big problem for me. If anything, it was a good move.” I told him. “I want to find all the people who caused you pain and hurt them all. That fucker you married the most because he shouldn’t have told on you. He should have given you time to tell them yourself not talk about it behind your back.”

Ex-Wife Became Beautiful After Divorce : He Regrets

Ex-Wife Became Beautiful After Divorce : He Regrets

“After everything you’ve done, you come here and hug me just like that?” “Listen to me first,” Gevan said quickly. “I was wrong. I admit it. I was stupid, selfish, and cruel.” Sheena spat on the floor near his feet. “Tch.” Gevan’s face tightened. “I will never forgive a bastard like you,” Sheena continued coldly. “You divorced me when I was at my lowest. You took my child. You let people humiliate me.” “I didn’t know you suffered that much,” Gevan said softly. “If I had known—”

Nothing My Husband Bought Fit Me

Nothing My Husband Bought Fit Me

"It's all in the past." I cut him off and pushed my shopping cart forward. "The divorce was good for both of us. Go find a proper job and live your life well. And don't ever use your standards of beauty to control someone else again." With that, I didn't stop. I walked away. As I stepped out of the supermarket, sunlight spilled over me—warm and bright. I lifted a hand to touch my cheek. There was softness and warmth—no longer that sharp, bony frame from before.

Twelve Years Gone, Like The Wind

Twelve Years Gone, Like The Wind

I turned and walked toward the cab I had hailed by the roadside. When you reached the end of some roads, you never looked back. After the divorce, my life got back on track. There was no more waiting on edge. No more sharp smell of alcohol. No more endless emotional exhaustion. Six months later, just as I walked out of work, someone blocked my way.

Pelican Bay Security

Pelican Bay Security

I say because what else is there? He snorts, but not over what I've said. "It sucked for a few years, but like you my mother is strong and she came back happier than ever before. If you talk to her now, she would say the divorce was the best thing to ever happen to her." I nod because I can already see how easily it could be true. Restarting and rebuilding my life with Emma was hard. I hope it's the hardest thing I ever do, but in ways also the best. I wasn't the person I should have been while married, and being on my own has given me the opportunity to find myself. Now, I'm figuring it all out and deciding what I want to be when I grow up, but at least now I have options.

OMG one of the BEST books I’ve read on this app. Freaking hilarious with lots of action and romance. I was literally LOL-ing. Like late at night. Laying in my bed. At 2am. Cause I couldn’t stop reading. I’m pretty sure you all know what I mean… could not stop reading!!!

Absolutely 1000% the best stories I have ever read!!! I was so hooked I have read almost 24 hours straight because I didn’t want to stop. I have laughed, smiled, been on edge when action unfolded, even shed a tear or 12 more in the last day reading this than in 40 years of daily reading. I want more

Honestly? I think the title itself kind of tells you the whole arc upfront. It's never really about the divorce itself, that's just the inciting incident, the catalyst that finally breaks the protagonist's shell. The story becomes a masterclass in reactive transformation. Before, they were defined by the marriage, often diminished, overlooked, or taken for granted. Post-split, that external definition vanishes, and they're forced to confront who they are without it. The 'became everything' part is that explosive moment of self-actualization, where they take all the traits the ex or society deemed flaws or weaknesses—ambition, ruthlessness, creativity, even just plain old stubbornness—and weaponizes them for success. It's less about changing who you are and more about finally giving yourself permission to be that person fully, unapologetically.

I've seen versions where the ex sees the glow-up and feels instant regret, which is the ultimate narrative payoff, but the real satisfaction is internal. It's the protagonist realizing their own capacity, rebuilding a life on their own terms, and discovering that the 'everything' they become was inside them all along, just buried under years of compromise. That shift from being seen as 'part of a pair' to being a formidable, complete individual is the core of the transformation.
