Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

Yet this act of power did nothing to deter the mindless pawns that were closing in. "Nature's Cross" James chanted. His stance was inch perfect, his technique exceptional. The result? A Nature's Cross that put his practice cross to shame. Twice as big as the one he conjured earlier, and at least three times faster, the magnificent sword lights rushed towards two of the unfortunate pawns, intent on being the platform for their crucifixion. *BANG* The cross exploded loudly, having successfully impaled two of his assailants, and leaving a large dent in the ground, proof of its power. James panted loudly, his eyes were beginning to fail him. His steps faltered as he slightly bent over, exhausted

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

Immortal Era's Crafting Master

Immortal Era's Crafting Master

Whether it be by lifting the animals directly or using the wires to form a platform of sorts for the animals to cross, the clone has done it all. With the end of the path now coming to an end, so too does the time both women spent traveling together. As they bid each other farewell, the clone looked on with an uninterested expression while manipulating his wires to form a miniature rope bridge for a few wild squirrels to cross in the treetops above him.

CRUZ

CRUZ

"The rumor concerning CRUZ company...you didn't hear it?" "CRUZ company? I didn't hear about that, what was it about?" "CRUZ company was accused of producing fake designs and forging other companies' designs of paintings. It was all over the news, Clara." There was a hint of shock and surprise in Ella's voice.

Lines Crossed For Love

Lines Crossed For Love

Her lips were soft against his and it took only a fraction of a second to register that she kind of kissed him back. Before either of them could break it off, fireworks went off with a loud bang. Startled, the two of them disconnected. “Wow,” Keion said, a smile forming on his lips, “just like in the movies.” Somehow that loosened Ceanna’s tongue. She laughed slightly and said, “And now we will become inseparable.” He laughed too. Another loud bang sounded and he turned his head to look at the colorful display blazing across the sky. It really was as Nancy had promised. As he turned to comment on it to his last mistletoe participant, he realized that she had disappeared.

Crossing The Bridge

Crossing The Bridge

It is not like he will be around much longer, as I have already unintentionally bridged him to his mate. That is correct, I make bridges. These are spiritual and magical bridges for others to cross to that which they sometimes want, need, or desire. I only found out a few weeks ago that I have this ability. Prior to that, I had thought I was cursed. You see, every time I get involved with someone, they find the woman they end up with. They break it off with me. Oftentimes, they just ghost me. It is rude and pathetic, but most people lack bravery and basic decency.

She whispered. With her eyes unable to leave the sight, she signaled to Zee. “What did you say was the name of the rebranded company?” Zee scrolled quickly, then glanced up. “Cross tech, ma’am."

Frequently Asked Questions

I just finished reading 'Double Crossed' a few weeks ago, and wow, that ending totally blindsided me! The final chapters are a rollercoaster of betrayals and revelations. The protagonist, who spent the whole book trying to outsmart the villain, realizes too late that their closest ally was the real mastermind. The last scene is haunting—a quiet confrontation in a rain-soaked alley where the protagonist makes a desperate choice to burn all the evidence, including their own reputation, just to stop the villain from winning.

What really stuck with me was the moral ambiguity. The book doesn’t wrap up with a neat bow—instead, it leaves you questioning whether the protagonist’s sacrifice was worth it. The author leans hard into gray areas, and the final line, 'Some ghosts don’t need graves,' gave me chills. It’s the kind of ending that lingers long after you close the book.
