I protested to my parents in either skipping the school or transferring to another school but they forced me to be here as this is the only school which is best. I reserved a place in one of the seats available though nobody was there. I kept my bag and went in search of a nice book. I went to the thriller books section and searched for a book, perfect for reading at this moment. ‘The black coffee’ by Agatha Christie, the great author, caught my eyes as I wanted to read this book for a very long time but I didn’t get to.

Only now that I realized how close we are to each other, and if only he’s breathing like a normal human would, then maybe I already inhaled his breath… Just a few inches away and I’m sure that our lips will finally collide. “I’m sorry, but this must be some kind of mistake. Then she took out a pocket knife and unsheathed it. "What are you doing? Do you want to attack me with that?" I accused her again. On the contrary, Agatha smiled. "Break the seal. . ." She whispered. Then in a swift action, she slit her own throat. I gasped in shock.

But as the memories continue to unravel, I can’t shake the feeling that this is far from over. Agatha retreats to her dorm room later that night, her thoughts spinning. She pulls out a sketchbook and begins tracing the lines of her birthmark, trying to understand the connection. As she draws, a faint knock sounds at her door. Her heart races, the memory of those rogues still fresh in her mind. She opens it cautiously—only to find an envelope with no sender. Inside is a single piece of paper with a message that makes her blood run cold: “You’re not who you think you are.”

Agatha narrowed her eyes and fixed her gaze on her friend. "Find who?" She asked with a gentle tone. "Brian" "You mean he was here?" Agatha asked, opening the locket that was on the gold necklace. There was an inscription in it. She read it and lifted her gaze slowly. Gabrielle was surprised by the sudden change in her look. She frowned and took the necklace from her.

He looked at me funny. "In all that time you were in there, that is all she said?" he asked me. I didn't look at him. I knew I would start talking once those green eyes pierced mine. I took out my phone and typed. Agatha says she thinks there are spies here, listening in on us. She says everything I need to know about me, and my destiny will be found in a book your father is bringing later", I wrote. He looked at it, then looked around before nodding and handing me my phone. I deleted the message from my notes.

I had no choice, so I dug through every gift Zoe had ever given me, but I found nothing. Just when I was about to give up, I shook a pillow, and a tiny paper figure floated out. Its face was drawn to resemble Lucas, and his birth details were written on the back! The fortune teller exclaimed, “That’s it! The lock and the paper figure work together, and since you've touched the lock, the effect on you is stronger. Luckily, you found it early.” I broke out in a cold sweat. That same day, I slipped the paper figure under Miles’ pillow and instructed my parents to watch him while he slept.

“Ariadne.” Even the books here were ones I’d already read repeatedly. There were only so many times I could read about the '100 Greatest Battles of Wolf Kind' or 'The Twenty Steps of a Successful Luna' before beginning to hate even the thought of picking a book up. But even if I asked someone to go to the library for me, it was unlikely there would be many books in there that I hadn’t already read at least once. 'Three hundred and eighty-four… three hundred and eighty-five… three hundred and eighty-six….'
