Andrew’s POV Elara’s gasp for air sent a fresh wave of panic through me. She clutched at her chest, her knees buckling. I held her up, her weight against me like a lifeline. Akira relaxes instantly, and they both stay very close for a long time, exchanging purrs and rubs, looking directly into each other's eyes. There is no doubt that Remus loves Akira as much as Ragnar loves Katrina. It is a unique, strong, indescribable love.

Akira’s POV As I stood there, still stunned by the sight of Hunter and Kestrel locked in that kiss, it crashed me, leaving my chest tight with sadness. Kestrel hadn’t even completely left the room when Hunter turned on me, his eyes hard and unyielding, refusing to meet mine. His voice was cold and distant, like he’d erected an invisible wall between us. “What do you want, Akira?” he snapped, the impatience in his tone cutting through me like a knife.
