Akira’s POV I sat cross-legged on my bed, staring blankly at the open book in my lap. The words on the page blurred together, no matter how hard I tried to focus. I must have read the same paragraph ten times, but nothing stuck. I find myself reading the same passage close to ten times. My brain was like an empty cavern, unable to process anything. It wasn’t the book’s fault. My thoughts were consumed by the nightmare I’d had last night. Or was it a dream? I wasn’t sure, but whatever it was, it had shaken me to my core.

Neu and Hikari then started it. Hikari started it by sketching a manga and Neu started to modify it to better meanwhile Nimura was watching over them and tell them if there was any problem. - I told him. He nodded and pulled several books out from one of the stacks and set them in front of me. I opened the top book and ran my fingers over the runes in the title. It was beautifully written as if each word was drawn with love and attention to detail. Now that I looked at it, it reminded me of a combination of Norse and Old English. Nerrian pulled his chair closer and pointed to the first word, speaking it in my mind than out loud in Draygonian. With his help, I repeated the word over and over again until I perfected it.

Rune answered as he pulled out another book from the pile, this was larger than the first and thick, but not thicker than the first book he pulled out earlier. “...the same creatures that set you on this crazy path. You have them to thank for all that has happened to you so far.” Akira could sense the sick humour in his tone, “ha ha ha, really funny.” She said dryly. “Here, there they are….” Said, his eyes lighting up. The flare in his eyes died almost immediately as they appeared. “What is it this time?” I asked. “It is written in the old texts…” “Well, let's try other books.” Akira suggested as she flipped through the books laying in front of her.

It was as if they all had moved to a dark room and her eyes which stared into your soul was the only light so all you could do is stare back.
