She looked very happy to see Alex again, something Alex actually doesn’t really like but couldn’t escape from.

Along the far side of the chamber were the others. Kayo leaned against one of the rune pillars, fox-bright eyes fixed on the center circle, while her two oni brothers, **Akitora — Aki —** and **Riku**, stood near the wall where the chamber’s ward-lines met the stone. Both looked like they’d rather be anywhere else than sitting still, which probably meant they were exactly where they were supposed to be.

Shogo was overjoyed and had been playfully teasing Natsu, making his eyes widen with delight. "His eyes are just like Nidaime’s. Sandaime doesn’t resemble him as much, but little Natsu-chan has Nidaime’s face too." Akiko could only smile at the comment and deliberately avoided letting Shogo get a closer look at his eyes. Akiko knew that Natsu’s eyes closely resembled her own, which would make explaining her relationship with Masaki a bit tricky. Akiko had fully understood why she had to become Ishida—following Kenji’s explanation that Hayato was Ishida. Akiko had no issue with the change, especially since she didn’t want to be called Sandaime everywhere she went.

He was crying. The flame went out. Shigure’s face had gone empty. Daigo stopped fighting long enough to stare.
