She gasped as she guessed, and stood up with dough eyes in anger, "where is that son of a bitch?" I laughed for the first time, Alexa raised her eyebrow at my sudden burst of laughter. It wasn't because of her assumption, I was delirious from all the crying and I was laughing at how life just turned upside down for me. I was out of it when I began to laugh more hysterically.

The word tore from my throat as I slid down the counter, my legs unable to hold me. I’d butcher men without remorse and paint their blood on the walls as if it was some fucking piece of art. But this...this was different. My soul laid bare, utterly consumed by rage and anguish. My men stayed with me and watched their mafia king break apart, waiting for the explosion. My wrath would awaken the demon inside me, summon hell, and unleash my demons to wreak havoc on Earth to avenge my Angel. “How did they get to her?” My voice was hoarse, the words muffled as I spoke into my hands.

Cal had to fight himself from stepping in front of the man as he moved closer to Astasha. If she was afraid, she wasn’t showing it. I throw my arms around him tightly, burying my face in his neck before he can lose his shit. "Azren, please," I whisper desperately, my voice shaking. "Don't get angry. Not right now. You're still burning up. I can't watch you hurt again. Please." He stays rigid for another second. Then a long, exhausted sigh leaves him. His arms slowly come around my waist, holding me close even though his body is trembling with the effort. "I'm not angry at you, Angel," he murmurs against my hair. "I think... the voice you heard was your wolf. She's waking up. She doesn't like him near you. That's why she reacted."

I mustn't make him angry because I still don't have anywhere to go. " I apologise but I'm uncomfortable around you, Mr Alberto," I replied. " Is that so? Follow me Eva," saying that he walks out. I looked at my twins who have now woken up. Their bright eyes and smiles gave me strength to endure the coldness of Alberto. I followed Alberto upstairs, into his office where his assistant manager Lucifer was standing. I side glanced at Lucifer, he was indeed a handsome and ruthless, cold hearted vampire. His eyes looked down at me with disgust and hatred but he immediately changed his rigid expressions and smiled at me.

Alpha Malik, his face a mask of determined rage, stepped forward, seizing the rod previously employed as a tool of torment from one of the guards. Closing the gap, he tightened his grip on his mouth forcing blood to trickle from the assassin's mouth, staining his chin scarlet. "So, they sent you to end my life. Did you realize the precious existence you nearly snuffed out, out of me?" Alpha Malik's voice seethed with anger, his teeth clenched tightly. The weight of his words hung heavy in the air, piercing through the silence of the dungeon.

“Not so fast.” We look up and see Alastor in his human form. He has a malicious grin as I see his eyes turn red. He is going to cook us alive. As he prepares to throw a fireball at us he is struck in the shoulder with an ice spear. He growls and glares at Maliyah. “Wait your turn my dear niece.”

He was nowhere to be found. "Isn't there a big black one?" Lucas asked nervously at my side. He was almost ridgid beside me. "He must be in his den," I whispered. As if I had called his name, Alastor sprinted out. His eyes scanned the people watching him until they landed on me. His ears perked up until he zeroed in on Lucas standing close to my side. His muzzle scrunched up and he ripped out a snarl. People cheered in excitement. It must be cool to see a wolf growl like that. I was just upset. Why was he angry?

Her anger had almost calmed by then but it gushed again at his appearance and smirking she said, “Did you think that I would keep quiet after the stunts you pulled on me? You should know by now that I am not ‘normal’ like the others. This is what you get in return for the test that you made me go through and the kiss.” She watched him carefully, waiting with anticipation to laugh inside when he would burst out in anger at her. She wanted to watch his veins bulge to the limit where he might just pop open one but to her disappointment that didn’t happen. Instead of getting angry Alastor smiled and stepping in he closed the door behind him and laughed, “This is exactly why I like you.” He said,
