I felt a pit form in my stomach and I did not like the foreboding that latched onto me. Dominik sighed and turned to the wolf. “Where is s-“ “I am here alpha.” My head spun to the sound of the voice that echoed through the walls. It was a girl, about the same age as I was. Her silky hair was tied up in a pony tail and the length of it was astonishing. Her caramel eyes mixed with green streaks twinkled as she gazed at Dominik. Her porcelain skin was a sight to behold and it was painfully breathtaking. I hated to admit it, but she was utterly beautiful and stunning.

My dad and I were there for little to no moral support. Eventually, two wolves who I didn’t know appeared. They looked similar to Alastor. There was a boy and a girl, they looked like they were close to my age. The boy looked almost identical to Alastor. The girl was gorgeous, though, with long raven curls with the tendrils of yellow, teal, purple, blue, orange, red, and green peeking through her hair. She had pale skin and a nose ring. The green eyes they shared were Alastor’s. I assumed they were probably his siblings. The boy came forward; first, an enthusiastic smile was etched across his face. The girl stood behind him with a laptop pressed up to her chest.

Josh asked, Alaster’s form slowly morphing to that that of a voluptuous woman, hair a sandy blonde and eyes a deep brown. “Precisely, but it seems that I can’t control it today,” Alaster smiled, his voice throwing Alex off greatly. Not only did he have the look, but the voice a woman as well, hell if he hadn’t watched I spawn before him, would have believed that the person before him was a woman and nothing else. Thank god Alaster was mannerful or else his power would have easily taken first place in driving Alex mad. Alaster’s form once again changed, much faster than first. Alastor's bright red eyes gleamed in anticipation, his blond hair was pulled back from his face in a tight ponytail. With a nod from him, the wolves stood to the side, sneering. Ronin knew the image he presented, an unbothered King caught up with his pet, not in the least intimidated by the challenge issued to him. Alastor’s eyes landed on Liora who was preoccupied with counting the rings in each fingerprint so she didn’t drop to her back to ask for belly rubs. Alastor smirked, “What’s this?” He jutted his chin towards Liora, “I do hope she is a part of the prize when I take the Helm.”

They all had their wolves. And I didn't have my magic. “I can assure you that there's nothing–” Atlas tried to stop them but it was of no use. Soon the carriage door was ripped open and I came face to face with one of the rogues. His head was bald and he had a scar running along his face, running through his left eye socket which was empty. He kicked his lips when he saw me, a grin spreading on his face. “Fight them, Heyley!” My werewolf urged me and I let her take control of my body.

Proserpina scoffed, swatting his hands away from her, “Quit it. I don't do hugs–” Alastor suddenly dropped forward like a tidal wave threatening to pull her down with him, arms wrapping around her waist. He was practically a koala–a six foot tall koala–as he all but threw himself on her, legs sprawled uselessly on the ground and all of his weight bearing down on her. She gave him her driest, blankest stare, eyes boring holes down at his stupidly smiling face, “Happy now?” Alastor simply hummed, nuzzling her stomach contentedly, a strange vibrating sort of noise coming from his chest… and forget the comparison about a koala or the fact that he is technically a wolf, he reminded her of a giant

July sat on her bed, confused and surprised to see Alastor with a serious face asked her to leave like that. She is really worried about him, and feels guilty that Alastor became like that because of her. The words Alastor spoke rang in July's head, teasing her. It was because of Alastor's condition, who was sick, that he said sloppily. July is confused to catch Alastor's speech and must interpret it in how.

I want to avoid Mysterio's watchful eye so I make my way to the corner of my room where a chaise sat, but of course, his light blue hues drew me in to where he was now sitting on a chair of his own against the door. It's such an obnoxiously large chair that I’m not sure where he actually got it from. It certainly wasn't in here when we arrived, but there he is, draped over it like a lazy prince as he toys with a stick in his mouth.

She widened her eyes and faked a smile towards my direction, silently warning me. A lump formed in my throat. Damn it. "H-Hello..." I awkwardly said. My heart was thumping fast and loud against my chest as I slowly looked into his direction. I swear, I saw the corner of his lips suddenly tugged up. It was almost a teasing one. Mocking me with our situation. I bit my bottom lip and looked away. "By the way, before we forgot to say," Alpha said. Our attention went back to him. He smiled and gently squeezed my mother's hand, lovingly. "Anastasia is pregnant. You two are going to be an older brother and sister."

I flipped through it absentmindedly pictures of us as children, mother’s distant smiles, court events. Then I reached the last page. And I froze. There, tucked inside the back cover, was a photograph. The same one I had, but mine was cut, or maybe someone was cut out from the picture. The younger self of my mom stood beside a tall man with dark hair and eyes that looked strikingly like Alpha Kieran’s. He had his arm around her. But it was the child in her arms that made my heart stop. The same baby girl in the other picture, no more than a year old. With raven-dark hair. Bright green eyes. She looked just like Elvira. My fingers trembled as I touched the edge of the photo.
