A cold smile played upon Victoria's lips, a mask of defiance. "You think you have won? You think you can bring me down? You underestimate me, Emma. I will not go down without a fight."

All-consuming rage. Victoria had taken everything from me. My freedom. My peace. My baby. And I was going to take everything from her. Starting with her life. The lights flickered. Went out. Victoria explained coldly, reaching up to aggressively straighten the lapel of my expensive suit jacket. "I do not care about love, affection, or your pathetic, brooding temper tantrums. I am here for absolute, undisputed power, and nothing you say or do will ever terrify me enough to walk away from the Southern Pack throne."
