The wolf didn’t even flinch. I exhaled and looked at him,“Let me explain something to you,” I said, pointing at myself. “I’m a human. A normal, ordinary human being. There is nothing mysterious about me. No hidden magic, no supernatural powers and no secret abilities waiting to awaken. I wake up, breathe, eat, and sleep like every other human.” My voice softened slightly, though the frustration remained. “I’m just… me,” I finished. “So please tell me what exactly am I supposed to discover about myself?”

I raised my hand to silence him because I was done. "I want to break connections with all of you. Honesty these last 5 days proved that I don't belong in your world nor do I want to be in it. Now if we could hurry this up so I can get back to my mundane life." I gestured to the book that I planned on never reading again. Alax chuckled as I opened up the book. It would be pretty easy finding what I needed since bonds had a whole area. The pages to the book made a flapping sound as I quickly looked for the page that I needed. Alaxs finger tapping against the table was distracting.

The gray-coated man quietly whispered, "It remembers you." Adrian stopped. "I've never seen this book." The stranger looked into his eyes. "No." "But it has seen you." A low hum filled the island. The first page slowly turned by itself. The second page... was completely blank. Not a single word. Not a single mark. Only a tiny sentence appeared at the bottom. Place your hand here. The First Reader immediately raised his voice. "Don't." "If the book accepts you..." "...there will be no turning back."

He quickly noticed that I am looking there that is why he immediately spoke again. "Oh, right! Here is your book by the way," he smilingly said and quickly handed me the book.

I murmured and started opening the book pages and saw some notes which made me conclude that it is a self-help book. "This should be interesting." I murmured to myself once again when I also notice that it only cost me a few dollars to buy the book. I smiled a little and went on for the next pages. "Bro, are you just gonna stay inside this place or you still want to go home to your boyfriend?" I look at my left when I heard Rael's voice from the other side of the shelf. I blink my eyes, realizing how I stayed here for long so I chuckle to myself before I decided to buy the book for me.

Daniel takes a book off the shelf, and I turn to face him. "What do you like to read the most?" he ask. "A bit of everything, I enjoy gaining knowledge," I shrug. "Take this; consider it a memento from me," he says, holding the book out to me. I raise an eyebrow. I take the book from his hand and look at the cover, which depicts a couple embracing. I check the title, which reads: "Farewell to Humanity." "Thank you." "You're welcome." I say nothing more and head toward the path I memorized leading to the bedroom. I lie down on the bed and stroke the book's cover. I start reading and don't know how much time passes, but when I come to, the day has already dawned.
