The werewolf terrifyingly said. “Not so good answer,” I whispered and move fast to reach for his neck. “Fine, let me just change my question, my friend.” I whispered. “Who is the black moon pack leader? Is he a vaewolf hybrid like me?” I asked. He closed his eyes and let me wait for a couple of seconds before he speaks. “H-he is…” While impatiently waiting for his next words. I froze when I felt an unfamiliar aura nearing us. “Are you looking for me, Luna?”

I replied with a soft smile. “When did he even get here? I didn’t see him.” Lana mumbled under her breath. She couldn’t sense his presence like other wolves could. Alaric’s eyes landed on her with his usual playful grin. “And you must be his failed bride.” I shot him a warning look. “What? The news traveled fast,” he added, unbothered. “I’m Alaric. His beta.” “Nice to meet you, Alaric. But… beta?” she asked, clearly lost.
