“Don’t call me that yet. It still feels… unreal.” Another girl, with her hair tied up in a neat bun, stepped closer to fix the last few strands falling from my curls. “Unreal or not, you’re glowing. Alpha Arnold won’t be able to take his eyes off you.” I blushed and looked down at my hands. My fingers trembled slightly. “I can’t believe this is happening,” I whispered. “Me… Luna of Blue Moon Pack.” “Believe it,” the first girl said, placing the finishing touch, a silver pin shaped like a crescent moon into my hair. “You deserve this.”

And as the moonlight spilled into the tent, I whispered to the shadows beyond, “Let the Evil King come. The moon stands with us now.” Because I was no longer the girl who’d been rejected and broken. I was the Luna of the Royal Pack — and this time, I was ready for blood. --- ***

Something unspoken. He cleared his throat and began the ancient rite, his voice low and steady: “I, Alpha Knox Black, Lycan Prince of Wales of the Lycan Kingdom, welcome you, Lydia Michael, into the Blue Moon Pack. You are forever bound—with pain, with blood, and with life—to this pack until you are ready to sever the ties.” Each word pulsed through her like electricity. When they separated, he wiped their hands with a soft cloth. Her throat tightened. Her skin burned. Was this real?

Luna found herself elsewhere. Not standing on grass. Not surrounded by trees. Not with the two wolves who safeguarded her existence. She was within the blood-washed memories of the Moon Goddess. The ground beneath her feet transformed into a dark, glassy surface, resembling hardened obsidian. Above her, the sky fractured with white lightning, each strike unveiling glimpses of battle—wolves tearing through enemy lines, sorcerers conjuring shadows, the first Luna Queen raising her hands as moonfire erupted from her palms.

Rizz made me harden my heart. “Sorry for what?! Did you do anything to me?” I wanted to use reverse psychology on Charlotte. My lips formed into a pout. Charlotte smiled ….and gradually, her smile formed into a grin. “You know I'm still your Luna. You're talking to your Luna with disrespect.” “Luna my foot!” Rizz rebelled. “Tell her to go on her knees and apologize to you. Better still, she can make you queen of the five kingdoms. That's a better offer.”

Is she tired of living? “How dare you, Aurora?” I growl in anger as I begin to take slow steps towards her, “how dare you?” “Luna's things are still in the room master” Aurora tells me, “and by the law of the pack, no one is allowed to enter that room aside from Michelle. I know you announced that Natalie will become the new Luna of the pack but until the mark and mate ceremony, we do not consider her Luna.. She is still talking when I grab her neck and push her against the wall, my hands tightening around her with each passing moment.

I would miss them more than anything else in this world, I thought to myself. Heading into a world of different creatures with different status was more like an adventure. I was the princess of my pack, but not anymore. Just as the warrior addressed me, I became his Luna the day he made his intentions known, and that was more than a year ago on my sixteenth birthday. Best reasons known to him he chose me of all others to be his fated chosen mate. Ezra was good-looking, every woman wouldn't be able to resist his charms. Young, handsome, and most of all powerful.

White. Balance. She looked at Kael. “Father.” Then at me. “Mother.” My heart stopped. She smiled. “My name is Luna.” The ancient Queen whispered, “No…” Luna turned toward her. “You remember me now.” The Queen's eyes filled with fear. Luna raised her hand. The entire Moon Kingdom bowed. Every crown disappeared. Every throne shattered. And the First King— fell to his knees. Luna looked at him. “You wanted the Moon Kingdom.” He trembled.

Just before she understood what I was doing, I knew where she was, and one panicked thought from her hit me hard. 'Tomorrow night was the royal blue moon, and the date would be 22/02/2022. A magical night predicted throughout all supernatural folklore. The night the Great Warlock himself would return to crown the Eternal Supernatural Queen, the Purple Wolf, who would become the legendary Royal Luna, my Purple Queen. Before I could find out anything else, she threw me from her mind and set up blocks to prevent me from returning; already, her powers were becoming equal to mine, and when she was crowned, they would surpass all other supernaturals. It did not matter; I had seen enough to be able

Leo was grinning, batting at a stray droplet of water that had escaped a canteen, watching it wobble like a translucent jellyfish. But it was Luna who caught my breath. Her hair, as white as mine, fanned out around her head like a halo of silk. Her eyes weren't on the Earth, and they weren't on the cabin. She was staring fixedly at the Moon—the glowing, jagged crescent that loomed ahead of us like a curved ivory blade. "It’s calling," Luna whispered. Her voice had that hollow, rhythmic quality that usually preceded one of her prophecies. "The Great White Wolf isn't on the Moon, Mama. She is the Moon. And she’s angry that the metal-men are crawling on her skin."
