Malphas raised his massive obsidian broadsword high above his head, the jagged edge of the volcanic blade crackling with a thick, toxic purple electricity. "She may be a star now, Alonso," Malphas sneered, his giant muscles tightening as he prepared to drive the blade downward. "But you? You are no longer a king. You are no longer an Alpha. Now, you’re just meat."

It only took a few minutes before a silver SUV pulled up to the packhouse. Alpha Bruce and his son Kalvin stepped out, followed by a few other men. Kalvin was a few years older than me, but his father was a control freak and refused to hand over the alpha title until he found a suitable luna to rule by his side. Alpha Bruce was in his late fifties and a total asshole. “Rider, it’s nice to see you again. Where are your parents, Alpha Erik and Luna Trish?” Alpha Bruce asked as he came to stand in front of me.
