Jake "It's freezing out here." Marc pulled his hands to his face as Jake glanced around at him. "It's not even that bad, yet." He smirked and glanced over at Drake. "You're quiet today. What's up, man?" "I lost my mom a month or so ago." He shrugged and averted his eyes toward the ground. Jake stopped and reached out to grab Drake's shoulder. "What? Your mom died?" "Yeah." He shrugged and pulled out of Jake's touch as Marc moved up beside them.

Alpha Jacob replied angrily, his beautiful chocolate-colored eyes fixed on my face. I have been working in this company for a year, but I haven't seen him even once or even just his shadow. I always thought that Alpha Jacob, who is not only the CEO of Samaniego Real Estate and Developer but also the alpha of the White Pack, is already old. So I didn't expect that our CEO is actually young and handsome. However, he is grumpy and sharp-tongued. He is a red flag to me. Instantly I felt sad if I were to grow with my real parents will I share the same bond as Jake did with his.

This time it was Mom, sitting in a home office, patiently coaching a much younger version of me on how to lie over the phone and how to squeeze out tears on command so Dad would send money. She has changed alot and definitely doesn't remember her roots unfortunately. Today though, I'm sitting in my last homeroom waiting on Jackson to show up. My long brown super straight hair is covering my face and half my calculus book. My final is tomorrow and I have no willpower left in my entire body to study any longer.
