You feel it, don't you?" I looked at him, my heart sinking. Tyrone was trembling, but his blue eyes were sincere. He wasn't trying to manipulate me. He never had. He was the only person in this world who'd never asked anything of me but truth.

I walked away from him. Tyron was one of my uncle's most trusted men, he was loyal to the core. I've known Tyron since I was born. He was born into a poor family. Desperate to get a good life, he worked hard to get into the university and he eventually got a good-paying job but when the recession hit, he was dropped, his wife took their daughter and left when he could no longer provide for the family... this shattered Tyron, he started stealing to survive, my father saw his condition and decided to help him since then, he had always been grateful and swore to serve Scarface to the end. Tyron served my father for years until he died and Alonso took over.

"I never thought I'd see you again." That voice. Deep, laced with something unreadable. I turned slowly, my heart steady but my mind bracing itself. Tyrone. He stood at the entrance of my small market stand, dressed in the attire of a Beta, of course. He was not demoted from that rank even after he had stolen the alpha’s wife and made an imbalance in the pack’s state. He looked different—not as sharp, not as arrogant, but older in a way that wasn’t just physical. The weight of his past choices clung to him, but there was something else in his expression.

Tyler, who stands opposite me and his eyes locked on mine with a big smile, winks, making me blush. The men disperse, and Ty comes forward, wrapping his arm around me and claiming my lips. "Remember, you got this. I'll be right here with you the whole time, as Asher will, Amethyst. Love you girls!" he says, speaking for himself and his wolf to me and my wolf, Amethyst. He quickly leaves, sprinting toward the men as they gather up and begin to yell their hearts out, telling us that we got this, along with the women who whoot and cheer aloud for us. I had never felt such unity in my life as I did right now.

I felt safe. "Who are you?" Ashton asked. "It's none of your business." Cyrus said, his voice harsh and poisonous. "Carmela is my business." My best friend pulled me closer to him. "She is my business, so, back off!" He's rude. He's always been rude. He never treated anyone with respect. He never treated anyone like humans. Cyrus only cared about himself. He only cared about his pride and I hate it. Someone like him easily loses his patience, meaning, he'll lose control and end up hurting anyone that disobeys him. And seeing how Ashton is pushing him to his limits scares me.

“Have one more dose. I’m sure your beloved tyrant of a mate would love to see you die a painfully slow death.” A hard kick rattled the cage loudly, and the grating sound exacerbated the ache in my head and sent me a strong wave of nausea. “Wake up! It’s no fun if I don’t see you try to suppress your screams.” He gave the cage another kick while he called me a bitch under his breath. My eyes slowly fluttered open, and as I looked at the ugly, burly man, I tried with all my might to make my gaze come across as a fiery and defiant glare.

Tyron spoke with a powerful voice in an extremely domineering manner. At that moment, he was like a warlord, whereas a small potato like Zayn was just a weakling. The rest of the crowd immediately became excited and cheered for Tyron. They gloated at Zayn’s misfortune and were even looking at the man with pity in their eyes. They assumed he was no match for Tyron. Tyron was a Tier-3 master fighter and was considered a young genius among the socialites of Yando City, not to mention the fact that he used to train under Lil Mars.

Questions rose inside me but I felt too little to ask. Cobra’s face changed slightly. Just for a second. Then he looked at the group of younger men standing nearby. “You,” he called to one. “Watch after her.” he said then left with Tiger. The young man stepped forward. “Good day, m’lady,” he said with a dramatic bow. “My name is Tyron.” His eyes were bright blue. Like the sky right before rain. His dark hair fell into his face and he brushed it aside. He looked young.

I try to get up from the chair to see who entered. In between the reporters and camera flashes, I see a tall man in a black suit. The scene looks similar to the scene of a gigantic ship crushing minor boats and sailing ahead. He walks in straight like an Egyptian God, not giving a flying fuck to anyone. Reporters chant his name 'Ryan, one pic. Ryan', but he didn’t turn. His aura is powerful like a hunter, so deadly and dangerous. He seems to fill the space around him like some dark entity. I didn’t notice myself shifting on the chair, the temperature is getting hotter of my seat automatically, boiling my bottom.

"I don't know what the team would be without me." Why is he telling me all this? "Where are my manners?" He stretches his hand towards me. "I am Tyrone Aston, Trent's dad. " I stretch my hand to shake his and that's when he stares at me. All this time he was talking he was just glancing at me then at his phone. But now that he has looked at me, he freezes, his eyes boring into mine. "Your eyes," Tyrone's voice fades into a whisper. "They look like... Hers... You look like her..."
