A GAME OF LIES
She took the microphone from the startled chairman with a smile that carried steel.
“I know I wasn’t invited,” she said, her voice calm, resonant. “But you’ll want to hear this.”
Murmurs erupted from the seated guests. Cameras turned. Montez stiffened, torn between rage and awe.
“For months, you’ve been fed lies about me. About Montez Vitalio. About everything we’ve done. Some of those lies are true,” Amira said, her eyes sweeping the crowd. “Yes, I was a stripper. Yes, our relationship started off as a sham. Yes, I allowed myself to be used as a pawn. I was every terrible thing they said. And I own it.”
