She was barefoot. Bruised. Dirty. Her toes were scraped, the skin red and swollen like she had been walking for a long time, maybe running, without shoes. My heart clenched. “Amelia,” I said, forcing calm into my voice as I stepped closer. “Your feet are bruised. Let me call the pack doctor. We need to clean them so they don’t get infected.” She stepped back instantly. “I’m fine,” she said flatly. The warmth vanished from her tone.

When reached her hotel room, she removed the heels, relaxing her feet. Oh and it was so much comforting when she put her delicate feet on the fur carpet, she felt relaxed as she stretched her feet. Again, the door of the room knocked and she knew who it was so she immediately opened the door. Hope came in with the same tray. "God! You look exhausted.." Hope stated and she just nodded. "Tell me about it.. I had to walk in these damn heels whole damn day.." Amelia, irritation in her voice, threw the heels on the floor, annoyed.

A small smile graced my lips. “I don’t mind if you don’t,” I reassured her. “I don’t.” Amy’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she stood on the balls of her feet. “I’m not sure what happened to his mama, but I would never want to see him upset or see tears in his eyes. If anything makes him happy, it’s worth doing.” Her words touched something deep within me, stirring a sense of admiration and respect for her selflessness. Hades I watched as Amelia walked into my office like she owned the goddamn place, which was absolutely ridiculous. She was dressed inappropriately in a pair of ripped jean bum shorts that left her long lean legs bare for everyone to see, and a crop top that exposed her belly, which was still smooth and toned, showing no signs of her pregnancy yet. She was barefoot too. What kind of Luna walks around with no shoes? Though some men might enjoy the show of skin, I found it revolting. In fact, I always had this momentary hallucination of her wrapping those muscular thighs around my head and squeezing them until she cracked my head like a walnut.
