Mr. Wilson gently wiped away my tears and began another round of hypnosis. “Miss Lily,” he said in a calm voice, “you and Miss Emily are sisters. Tell me, what is the one thing you remember most clearly about her?” The thing I remembered most clearly? My memories began to blur, and the dream twisted into chaos. I couldn’t steady it right away because there were too many moments burned into my mind, each one sharp and impossible to forget. They surfaced in fragments, scattered and broken.

She started, smiling as she took a deep breath. "Grandpa had the same amnesia and still can't remember if Mr. Ambrose had accompanied him to the business trip or not. Not to mention the defendant's workers who had all gone blank after having a strange drink, which was done by the cook who had run off ever since... and now, Miss Bella also suffers from amnesia?" Natasha Choi said as I could see the expression on the judge's face. I could see him writing something in his notes.

Night came again over Men's Island, too many things had happened that day. I left Jay and Razor some instructions before I left because I couldn’t stand for all the lies he was spitting. For years I had to live with the guilt of betraying them when my father asked me. It killed me when I saw her again after so many years before I knew she had amnesia. I tried everything I could to get her to love me again, but she never once looked at me. I wanted to tell her who she was for a long time but never got enough courage and if I’m being honest, I was afraid. Afraid she would hate me and run away as she did ten years ago. “Have you lost your mind? I thought you would have gone to the island by now, but I have to hear from Jay that you are here?” he scoffed.

"No, I wouldn't. Daddy only likes the bad lady. He lets her bully you, and he kicked you out of the bedroom and forced you to be a nanny. "If he really lost his memory, then how can he remember such a big company and all those complicated social connections but forget only you, Mommy?" That was right. Ambrose claimed he had amnesia, yet he hadn't forgotten his company or all the people in his network. The only thing he'd conveniently forgotten was me. I'd been in the business world for years and had seen all kinds of tricks, yet I'd actually fallen for such a shallow lie. I clenched my teeth and laughed at my own stupidity.

“Unforgettable.” Helena’s eyes flicked to me. I said nothing. I sat there, observing every move she made—the way her shoulders tensed, the way her fingers curled, the way she forced that smile like she knew nothing. “So let me guess,” Miranda went on. “Amnesia? Tragic. Poor you. Lost memories, lost life, lost husband.” She smiled thinly. “Yet somehow you remembered exactly where to return.” Helena inhaled sharply. “You don’t know what I’ve been through.”

I stared back at myself in the mirror. Rita leaned forward, her expression understanding. "That's a very valid fear, Anna. Amnesia can feel like losing a part of yourself, like a ship adrift at sea. But we won't focus on what you've lost. We will focus on what you are now, and what you want to become. So, please don’t be scared about it at all.” I looked at Rita, with a light hope reflecting through my eyes. "You think… you think it's possible?"

She smiled and said, “Not too shabby. Your skills have improved.” Robert rubbed the area in between his eyebrows. It seemed that Senior Officer Cornelius was starting her mad talk once again. “I won’t lie to you, Miss Cornelius. I haven’t practiced martial arts recently. How could I have improved?” Robert said. Miss Cornelius stared straight into Robert’s eyes with her pair of beautiful apricot eyes. She suddenly patted her head while sighing helplessly. “It seems that your amnesia is very severe.” Robert, “...” Finally, he raised his fists and started attacking Miss Cornelius.
