The Game of Heavens and Earth
Geno K. Celdran
“I missed football, I missed the excitement and adrenaline rush, but I could no longer do it with one arm. I got depressed.
“My parents wanted to cheer me up, so we went to Ireland to visit our roots. Lovely place, lovely people. And then one day, in some stone temple we visited, a god appeared. He told me all about this game of gods. He said that if I accepted his offer, he promised me a magical arm. I got so excited, I forgot to ask his name. And the rest is history.”
“He did promise you a magical arm,” Alex commented.
“Yeah, he did.” He flexed his metal fingers. “I can actually feel with this thing, but I can’t feel pain, though. What about you, Katie? How did you end up here?”
