I nod and Caleb smiles, “We can also talk to Peak Mountain Pack. They have a specialist that makes prosthetics. It’s going to be okay.”
I finally release the breath I have been holding and sob. Ryan holds me close and I cry as he pats my back, “He’s okay, Maddie.” He keeps saying. It doesn’t feel real- how could this happen?
