second-hand bookshop, which she had discovered while going down the street. "That's a phrase from a book by the great Ancio writer, young girl, do you know who that writer is?" the bookshop owner asked Ancanta, making her to drop her journal on the floor. Ancanta swiftly shook her head to demonstrate that she was unfamiliar with the famous writer cited by the bookshop owner.

THE ALPHA'S ADDICTION

THE ALPHA'S ADDICTION

Agrip sighed, then began to speak again. “The term “ancients” is a significant concept in history. In one of the history books, the ancients refer to a group of powerful and ancient beings who have lived for thousands of years. They possess exceptional supernatural abilities and are deeply connected to the earth and its elements. They are portrayed as the oldest and most powerful beings in existence. They are revered and feared by vampires, as well as by humans and other supernatural creatures. Their origins are shrouded in mystery, and they are believed to have been created by a higher power or divine force.”

Nemesis Of The Lycan Triplets

Nemesis Of The Lycan Triplets

I pulled one down after another, fingers skimming spines, scanning indexes, letting names and runes and old diagrams lift my skin. Ancients were not well-documented in accessible texts. They were the subject of mythologers and priests, of terrified scribes who wrote only in margins. I found sometimes a sentence, sometimes a stanza, never a clear method: no neat ritual, no set of sigils neatly assembling a death-blow. The ancients were a hole in the books, a blank space scribbled with rumors. Of course, El sighed in my head. The one thing you want appears in every ancient text as a footnote in a translation that burnt with the author.

Alpha Team - The First To Fall

I need answers. “Did you find anything that could be useful?” I can’t believe I’m even asking the question. As if smut writers know more about our kind than we do. “Actually, they all seem to have the same lore, with a few notable exceptions, very similar to the ancient Greeks and Romans .” Braydon rubs his knuckles up and down his abs in the way he always does when he is on edge.

The Great Wolf

The Great Wolf

“Our grandmother gifted us with a book that she claims is older than this world. It’s in a strange language and most of it is not translated. One of the few translations is the word ‘priores’ above drawings of fourteen red-eyed beings. It’s Latin for forefathers, also referred to as—“ “Ancients,” Amerie finished. That’s why Minera couldn’t say what they are but had looked at Amerie so pointedly in answer. “One of them made it impossible for me to breathe. Like it ripped the air out of my lungs.” A slight shudder tan through her as she whispered, “I wasn’t sure it was going to stop.” Brynn and Blaze exchanged wary glances. Blaze chewed on her lip before speaking. We have always been taught th

The Billionaire's Contract Wife

The Billionaire's Contract Wife

We carefully arranged the ancient texts on the large wooden desk, creating an organized array that beckoned us to explore further. Sitting side by side, our fingers traced the faded pages, feeling the texture of the weathered parchment beneath our touch. The words and symbols etched on the scrolls seemed to come alive, their ancient wisdom calling out to us. As we immersed ourselves in the texts, our minds became a tapestry of thoughts and theories. We debated each revelation, unraveling the intricate web of clues and connections that revealed the secret society's true origins. The scrolls spoke of a forgotten era when the world was governed by powerful beings with extraordinary abilities. T

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

"You've heard of it?" Andrew nodded. "Stories say these scriptures were created by ancient cultivators who poured their entire life's power into specially forged books. They imprinted their minds, spirits, and every technique they had mastered into these books, allowing them to be passed down for thousands of years without ever decaying. Since both the method and the knowledge came from ancient times, all scriptures like this were called ancient arcane scriptures." Valerie stared wide-eyed. "Are you telling me ancient cultivators were real?" Andrew did not answer. He simply looked at Luther, since Luther clearly had the authority to explain this.

Reynir Kjartansson
Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

THE LUNA'S ECLIPSE

THE LUNA'S ECLIPSE

My father wasn’t much of a reader, which made the sheer number of books suspicious in itself. I started at the first shelf, running my fingers along the spines. Most of the books here were generic—ledgers, accounting books, and legal texts. Nothing unusual. But as I moved to the second shelf, I noticed a shift. The titles here were different. The spines were older, the leather worn and cracked. These weren’t the typical records or reference books I’d expected. They were about ancient history—about the moon and the origins of the first wolves. Many of them have some kind of ancient language that even I find hard to read.

"It's Alexander, thank you. You may proceed." "So, according to the book which I told you about. It's called the Galaxus. It was compiled by ancient idols and spirits and poltergeists and many more. We had from Jove, Poseidon, and damn, I even got from the goddess of wisdom, Athene..." "Just cut to the chase, will you?"
