Guests made their way to the ballroom congested with people of sophisticated and important personalities ranging from women dressed in attires with exquisite taste to the men whose expensive coats drape across their shoulders.
The Late King Rex's mansion which sits in the middle of the old county of Lexsborough is said to be the most expensive building in the whole country with its foreign and expensive decorations. Golden chandeliers hung low at the center of the dance stage in the ballroom and from across it, a brown wooden door separates the ballroom from the rest of the mansion which is the palace.
Melodious country music played in the room but the guests are engrossed in their gossip about what rumors had to say about the man whom they have come to celebrate his coronation as the new King of Forester.
Most of the men and women all talked about the origin of the devil prince.
However, his name and story did not cease on everyone's lips as it was beginning to increase above the volume of the music.
A white limousine entered the compound, distracting everyone at the party. There was silence at first as everyone wondered who it could be. The chauffeur came down and opened the door to the vehicle, allowing a middle-aged strict looking man to get down. Followed by a lady probably in her twenties. The man wore a black suit jacket covered in glitter and his shoes won't forget to scream fortune as they shine under the moon. He also held a staff.
The girl however had brown curls for her hair and what gave it beauty was the fact that her hair had lots of volumes. Her white skin shone out of the pink transparent top with a black bra underneath, with black pants and heels to match. Her neck and wrists jingled with golden jewelry and nobody could miss who they are.
This was the closest friend to the late King Rex, Drake Stan, and his extroverted sister Ellie.
The door on the other side was opened and a twenty years old girl, Drake's daughter, who has similar features to Ellie came down, except she was slimmer and her eyes color were green unlike her aunt's whose eyes looked like the ocean. Asides from those differences, she was a bit extroverted just like her aunt, and had the same hair. One teeny tiny problem is that they both always have different opinions about things. While her twenty-seven years old aunt believed in making her live a modest life, she believed in being free to make her own decisions.
As quick as a flash, the topic of discussion changed from the devil prince to the obnoxious attitude and beauty of the Stan girls, Ellie and Selena.

Alexander looked at himself one last time in the mirror and wondered how cruel fate has been to him. He looked at the unsmiling reflection staring back at him and he knew that this was going to be the beginning of hell for him.
If he was truly the devil Prince, why does hell feel unbearable? Why has pain been his middle name? From when he was born till he is now at the age of twenty-five, he's only been into one problem or another.
First, he had to battle the fact that people believed rumors about him of any sort. When he thought people would stop talking about him for once and probably focus on his brother, the heir to the throne, he was wrong. The Crown Prince died mysteriously as well, further affirming the people's claim that he was the devil Prince.
This time he has decided that if the people will not stop spreading false acclamation about his origin, he will have no choice but to show them what a devil prince really is. He was never ready to become the crown prince and he hated the fact that he was in this situation right now.
He was already clenching his fists, veins popping out his forehead, and eyes reddening. He was cut short when his best friend came to call him.
"Your people are ready for you, Alex," Kit called, head popping into the room.
"It's King Alex now," he replied, eyes not leaving the mirror as he checked himself one last time before following his friend to the ballroom. He could hear one of his workers announce his arrival as he strode to the podium where the throne is, his blue long robe falling behind him.
"And to welcome our loving King into leadership, we shall toast to long life, good health, and the betterment of the pack members throughout his reign," one of the old kingmakers read out of a paper and with the look on the old man's face, he could tell he said all those seemingly pleasant things because they were the usuals not because they liked him.
He was given a glass of wine and everyone held theirs too.
"To long life!" the old man cried.
"To long life!!" The crowd chorused.
"To good health of our King and the people,"
"To good health..."
While this was going on, Alexander, the new King was getting bored and so decided to move outside. He stepped into the moonlight and stared hard at the sky.
He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he didn't notice a shadow moving past him. Alex turned immediately, sensing something was right beside him but shrugged when he didn't hear anything else. he was about to walk back inside when he heard a loud scream accompanied by a loud thud.
As he looked over at the other balcony, red dare-devil large eyes stared back at him and before he could call for the guards, Krepe took to his heels leaving a woman unconscious on the floor.

Alexander walked into his room and stared at the beautiful lady laying on his bed. Her curly hair sprawled on the white sheet on the king-sized bed.
He had sent all the maidens out after they were done taking care of her. If this was the woman his brother was supposed to marry before his demise. She wasn't his mate as mates didn't exist anymore in the werewolf world. Two decades ago, werewolves stopped finding their mates and everyone decided to move on with whatever wolf or human they wanted.
Slowly, the girl stirred from her slumber and stretched on the bed causing the sheets to fall off her body, revealing her white smooth skin. Alexander felt something jerk inside his body and looking at her pouting lips, he couldn't help but smile.
Opening her eyes, Selena was surprised to see the devil prince smiling at her from afar. His rich black hair waxed sideways, giving him a dangerous but hot-looking profile. His sharp jaws curved sexily down to his adam's apple, she let her eyes roam his face and she imagined her hands running through his smooth face. His thin pink lips and staring into his blue eyes looked dangerous as well.
Looking down at where she sat, she realized she was wearing a sleeveless thin dress with the sheets drawn up to her thighs. Remembering the rumors about the devil prince, she swung her legs down the bed and scrambled about for her dress.
"Are you okay?" His deep voice caught her and she knew it was rude to run out from the room without thanking him.
"Um...what happened last night?" Selena asked, turning, but was startled to see Alexander unsmiling and narrowing his eyes.
"You don't think it's quite unusual for me to let a commoner sleep in my room without any circumstances surrounding it?" He inquired, his gaze pinned on her face.
Selena drew a deep breath and folded her arms around her body to stop herself from shivering.
She dragged her feet towards the exit, eyes darting around to catch a glimpse of where her clothes are. Not like she was afraid of him naturally but his eyes looked like a mixture of danger and compassion. But then, standing in front of the devil Prince himself is the real danger.
"What's your name?" She heard him ask and she looked up at him before mumbling incorrigibly.
"Pardon?"
"My name is Selena," she replied curtly as she noticed the King's lips twitch irritatingly as if her name sounded bitter.
"Your clothes have been thrown into the trash by my maids, I'll get them to bring you some new clothes so you can dress up and come to the dining room for breakfast." With that, he turned but Selena's voice stopped him.
"Are we really going to get married?" She asked timidly.
"WHAT!" King Alex yelled.
"Bagdanas?" Alex called at the tall, dark man that stood beside him with his arm outstretched and a huge line of red lightning coming out of his palms. He was gritting his teeth. "You came for me." He muttered and he looked at him gratefully. When Bagdanas would drop his arm and turn to him, Alex grabbed him and embraced him. "You did come for me!" He said excitedly. Bagdanas nodded and took a glance at Sathanas. "You have failed this time again, Father. However, this one would be different from before. You will be erased from existence and your name will no longer be in the mouth of anyone." He said, his face strong and rigid. "My treacherous son. Let's see how you'll stand up against my other children who have proven to be so loyal." Sathanas mocked but Alex huffed. "Really? Let's see what you've got to say about this then." Someone stepped up beside them both and swirled her sword. "I'm sorry Father, but I've chosen this path." "Asmodeus?!" Sathanas thundered. "Unfortun
THIS CHAPTER IS A THROWBACK TO SOME OF CHER'S CONVERSATIONS WITH HER DAD"Come in."A young lady pushed open the door at the landing, holding around her the hooded cloak. Coming to the hyena territory at this time may seem unwise but she had to be in on the plan as she now seems confused. She has heard of the unfortunate fate of many ladies who walk around the place at that time. Especially if they are not shifters. Non-Shifters are people who are purely human. As she stepped into the room, she was met with a comforting smell of burnt coffee and flowers wafting through her nostrils. A few candles burnt in the corner of the room illuminating only a few parts where a man sat wearing a hat. The moon in its half form shone through a long window that overlooked a huge part of the garden outside. The rest of the space is filled with a stool, and two empty glasses that showed a visitor had just left.
Selena opened her eyes to see fire and brimstone falling, together with screaming and crying for help. She straightened but then realized she had been tied to a pole. She was kept in a cage made of huge iron bars. There was no way she could escape. Talking of escaping, she was too weak to even try.She squinted her eyes to see clearly but the only thing she saw was rocks and stones all over with smoke emanating from every area of the place. She knew immediately that she was in hell. But how? Thinking back to when she was at the bar, she could remember a young good looking Italian guy coming over with a glass of chardonnay on a tray."Your order?" She looked from the booth where she had paid extra to sit, alone. She remembered not having ordered anything yet and she didn't want to let down her guard anytime soon. However, this vibrant-looking man was here in a black and white shirt and trousers uniform stretching a tray o
Alex was furious as he got into the room. He couldn't fight this battle alone. He had gone five blocks from Chelsea's house and asked around for Chris's parents but he was told no one around born such a name. And there hasn't been any stranger in the past two months. Chris wasn't Chris or maybe he was and was just used. But what about Selena? Where the hell was she? Even if she was upset, she should be ready to come home so as to resolve the matter. He was worked up even when almost all the bars and every other place she could go to had been shut. It indicated that Selena has been kidnapped too. He had only one way to solve this. Go down to hell. But how? By going back to Forester. He would have to find someone who could channel him there. The last time he'd tried, demons had been freed. It was at this point Alex was beginning to miss Bagdana. He breathed in and out before resolving to go back to Forester and settle this once and for all.
Dressed in a black and white striped woolen top and jeans that stuck to her body, Chelsea walked next to Chris on the street, hands locked. They could pass as couples to anyone looking at them and it made her toes curl. In as much as she was happy that her crush was here, taking her out, she still was worried about him. She had seen what these demons could do, especially to people who are unarmed. But she wouldn't let any harm come to Chris. They branched a cafe and bought two vanilla grande lattes with six pumps that are hot. They got out and walked out, heading to the restaurant."So, how are you feeling, Chels?" Chris asked, their hands still locked and she looked up at him."I'm trying. This is really hard for me but, I have no choice. It's like my destiny to tied to do this." Chelsea shrugged."Or maybe you don't have to worry yourself." Chris urged and she thought about it for a while. Eventual
Selena felt uneasy with what Chelsea told her but she needed to hear from Alex himself so as to be sure if what she heard was right. Was that what Bagdana meant by her being created for Alex? And Sathanas in Krepe's body telling her Alex is nothing without her.It was dinner time and Chelsea had just finished making hot chicken soup. Unlike the city, Edison was quite warmer but with the season, it's more reasonable to have a chicken soup that hot. In the next few hours, the temperature will drop and they will be grateful they had a hot dinner. She also made casseroles and shrimp crackers, spreading them on the dining table. After settling, she waited for Alex to finish taking his shower and join them."I read in the papers today that the number of suicide shot up since last night. About ten people hung themselves this morning." Chelsea announced as she dished out food in their bowls.Selena just nodded but her mind was a
