"You betrayed me." He repeated a few more times before he opened his eyes and turned his head to the side to glare at Maxwell. Maxwell tensed under his brother's glare and so did I. The color of Silver's eyes changed and his wolf was about to rip out of him. I'd expected his wolf's presence. But what I did not expect is to see Silver's eyes turn, not golden, but Red.

They needed me to howl because they want Lucien and the others to find me. And the moment Lucien came, they started attacking them. They used powdered wolfsbane to weaken them, then they started firing silver arrows. But what startled us what the gun they used. Its bullets were made of silver. I had to struggle to suppress a laugh. The Silver Myst was an urban legend, a pure silver wolf who showed up when things looked at their worst. Blackfur stood still, smiling, waiting and calculating for the little wolf to be close enough to the ground for him to bat away, but he did not expect what was coming next. “Now!” Silver roared.

Silver smiled, but I could see the tension in her eyes.

Damian stood there, his eyes wide with shock. "What the hell are you?" he breathed. I looked at him, and I knew my eyes were blazing silver, I knew I looked like something otherworldly. Something powerful. Something dangerous. "I'm done being weak," I said, and my voice carried a double tone, mine and my wolf's combined. "I'm done being used. And I'm done running." The silver light pulsed through my veins like lightning, like moonlight made solid. "They want a war?" I smiled, and it wasn't a kind smile. "Then let's give them one.”
