"Hi-ho, Silver, let's go home." Silver pushed the boot room door open. He was gentle ever since he had pushed the door open, and it had off the hinges for the third time. Jack had threatened him with a wolf-flap, but that Amazon guy didn't seem to make those. It was insulting, he was not a cat. He shook the rain from his fabulous Silver coloured coat and turned back into Jack just as the hall door opened.

I muttered. "Backyard, no one will disturb you," Mary said. "I need to run," Silver said. Her sad gaze was on Elizabeth. "It's safe in the backyard. It's attached to the wood which is our private land." Mary whispered under her breath. We drifted toward the backyard silently. My gaze darted at various kinds of flowers and thick trees surrounded us. Butterflies in the air. "Hold this for me," Silver handed me her jacket. I grasped it and turned to sit under the tree. She shifted into a beautiful silver wolf.

I ordered. She nodded and disappeared with some of the gammas who were patrolling the forest. “Can we go home now?” Silver asked, her bottom lip jetting out in a pout. Silver didn’t usually pout like this, but I classified it as her feeling vulnerable and weak after she was kidnapped for the second time. I’m sure she was just tired. I smiled at her, wrapping my arms around her waist, ignoring my wolf who was growing tense. I pressed my lips to hers, allowing my tongue to explore her open mouth. She breathed me in, melting into me and I loved the effect that I had on her.

Swoosh! Amidst the roaring storm, a big black figure flew above the plane, covering the sun. The plane started shaking violently and passengers kept screaming. The giant silver eagle dashed past the plane, then it turned and flew towards the plane again, as if it was playing around. Tick...! Heavy machine guns started firing, and thumb-sized bullets and smoke filled the sky. Bullets hit the silver eagle and created sparks around it along with multiple "clangs". Its feathers were as tough as mithril, so ordinary bullets are useless against it.

Astonished, they both stared at it, then burst into laughter. “You sure, sweet thing?” Silver teased her, his eyes dancing and his lips curled up in a drop-dead sexy grin. “‘Cause it sounds to me like you could use a bacon cheeseburger.” Like some bizarre Pavlovian response, her stomach growled again. “Uh, well,” she said, attempting dignity in her robe, with horror hair and her stomach howling. “Maybe I could eat.” Still grinning, Silver called down and asked for two burgers and two orders of fries. Jo sipped her wine with as much decorum as she could muster under the circumstances, and considering that she looked like a drowned rat. He hung up, then looked over at her.

I swear, I wanted to kill him. “Dad? What did you do to Mummy?” Silver asked. “Yeah, tell her what you did to me, Mr. West.” I dared him to. He laughed, his chest vibrating with the sound of it. “Your mummy is angry. She wants to make new babies, but I'm trying to help her keep her promise.” My jaw dropped. My eyes widened. My soul flew out from either of those places. D–did he just…. Silver’s head turned towards me again, her face was unreadable. For a moment, I didn't know if it was a good thing.

I sighed. “Why do you try to make me angry?” I asked, sitting up. “I figured only anger can make you unleash the power, and I think I am right; you noticed it, right?” she asked Silver. He sat on the floor, massaging my shoulders. “Yeah, she was quick and light on her feet,” he said. “I have always been a fast runner,” I said. “You were faster; your leg moved in a blur, and when you got angry, your eyes glowed gold; it seems it is your wolf,” he said.

Silver said, smiling at her. "No, silver. I think the title of the movie you watch was actually called nosy and dumb," Elena added, smiling. "Yeah right," Silver squealed excitedly and high-fived Elena's hands, smiling proudly at Gaby. "Give up Gaby, we won. You can't defeat us, just admit that you lost to us," Elena said, smiling. "Whatever," Gaby said and walked away from them, sulking. As soon as she left, Elena and Silver burst into laughter and pointed at her back.

Getting awed by the second as the fight grows with magnifying intensity and bloodlust, my hands fist themselves, my eyes probably star shaped as I pump my fists into the air with a yell. That’s when it hits me like a lightning bolt…I’ve never seen Silver fight like this before. With my exciting charge dying down gradually, watching the animalistic drive both wolves attack each other with…I am taken back to the scene where I first met Silver’s wolf. The gruesome way he dismembered those rogues and that void emptiness that filled his orbs.

Her gaze was focused on the cup as she steered. “Well maybe if you weren't so dumb and told me all what have being going on between you and Lorenzo maybe all this bullshit wouldn't have happened”. Silver said angrily as she was pissed that Ann kept on repeating the same statement that she hated. She sighed when Ann didn’t respond while she continued to steer the spoon in the cup. Ann knew that the only way to calm Silver down was not to talk back at her because that’s when she gets angry and screamed aloud just to release her anger on her.
